🔮 What a year it's been for tech! As I wrap up 2024 with my final Third Sector piece, I'm looking ahead to what digital could mean for charities in 2025. From Copilot to Gemini, crypto donations to platform shifts, this year has shown us just how rapidly our digital landscape can transform. And the pace isn't slowing down. I've had the pleasure of speaking with brilliant minds like Rhodri Davies, Tim Cook and Britt Rosenberg about what's next. We explored fascinating developments - from AI agents revolutionising volunteer management to blockchain enabling Mercy Corps to slash emergency aid response times by more than 90%, to JustGiving's groundbreaking move into cryptocurrency donations. The potential for tech to transform our sector is tremendous. But with many charities facing tough times, how do we balance innovation with sustainability? One thing I'm certain of - as Yasmin Georgiou wisely reminds us, technology must serve our mission, with EDI at the heart of our digital transformation. What's becoming increasingly clear is that technological and social change are now deeply intertwined in our sector. They're two sides of the same coin in driving impact. For charity leaders, this convergence presents an unprecedented opportunity to scale our impact - if we're bold enough to seize it. https://lnkd.in/egGeBQ-H Would love to hear your thoughts - as we head into 2025, what digital trends are you watching? #Charities #ArtificialIntelligence #Leadership

We at Zoe Amar Digital have loved working with Pixeled Eggs on The Charity Digital Skills Report this year. They've helped us shape the report to gather much needed data on digital fundraising challenges for charities, as well as understanding where the sector is at with tracking its tech carbon footprint. Thank you Hayley Brace Sepas Seraj!
Reflecting on 2024, we're proud to have partnered with Zoe Amar FCIM and the Charity Digital Skills Report. This industry-focused survey and report is a sector-specific benchmark for digital adoption and a forecast for the year ahead. In response to a call from the sector to boost donations, 52% of the sector wanted to increase digital fundraising, and 29% of charities wanted to improve how they engage their audiences on their websites. We made our guide to boosting donations through your website accessible via our blog and supporting webinar. We'll put the link to the blog in the comments. Through our own work in sustainability and with environmental causes, we recognised a need to bring awareness and explore how the environment and sustainability play their role in charities' digital selection process. To further our and the sector's understanding of the digital carbon impact we added this into the survey.

📱 Many charity leaders have been asking me about navigating social media lately - particularly with all the changes at X, the rise of Bluesky, and how to make the most of LinkedIn. They're also keen to explore other digital channels such as podcasting. The truth is, we're in a fascinating period of change for social media. But rather than seeing this as a challenge, I believe it's an opportunity for charity leaders to try new approaches and find fresh ways to connect with their audiences. One thing hasn't changed though - success isn't about which channel you're on, it's about understanding your audience and what you want them to do. ➡️ Read the full guide here: https://lnkd.in/eESq3E6z Would love to hear your thoughts.
