Wishing a very Merry Christmas to all of our clients, partners and community 🌟 As we close our laptops and don our Santa hats, we're looking forward to some rest and relaxation after the jam-packed year that we've had. Here's a snapshot of what our 2024 looked like, and you can see all the wonderful things we got up this year here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eWV9TTZa

What's it like being the winner of the "Most out of their comfort zone in 2025" Yoyo award at the Christmas party? Well, pretty uncomfortable - as you can see from this pic. 😂 But amongst this, there's also been a ton of learnings as I got more comfortable with being uncomfortable. Jan-Feb: "Of course we can have a quick chat...a founder? No, actually I think I'm gonna vom...?" Tentatively dipped my toes in the sales arm of the agency because we had proposals and new biz calls being thrown at us left right and centre. Turns out founders aren't half as scary as I thought they were... 👀 March-April: "You have a 4 year old who doesn't sit still too? Oh sh*t it's been an hour, we should probably discuss your brief now..." Realised I quite enjoy chatting to new people and businesses about all the fun things we have in common and telling them a little about Yoyo too... May-June: "What do you mean you went with the CHEAPER agency?" Quickly had to deal with the painful feeling of rejection and ghosting and be told that I don't have a very good poker face when faced with adversity...ooooof. 😮 July - Aug: "I just don't think we're the agency for you..." Learnt that people ALWAYS seem to want you more if you say no...what's that about? 🤔 Sept - Oct: "Why do I already feel like I've known you for ages!?" Decided agency partnerships are the best thing since sliced bread because you A) can rant about all things agency. B) Give each other business. 💰 Nov - Dec: "Well, I was just about to... oh, go on then..." Remembered that sales leads are like buses and my new marketing friends seem to want to get their ducks in a row right at the end of the year...and yes that does mean I have to miss out on the Christmas pub lunch every now and then. 🫠 All in all, it's been fun and I've been lucky enough to not only learn from the best senior bods at Yoyo but feel confident our Marketing continues to seamlessly in the safe hands of Deneka Francis (and maybe even A BIT better) whilst I do.... So, here's to 2025, more being uncomfortable, more life lessons and more learnings. Have a good one everyone. 🎄 Hx

We're big believers in partnership, and see collaboration as the key to making great things happen. That's why we're so happy to be working with Unseen  on their corporate giving program, Unseen Guardians. Unseen Guardians brings businesses together across the world to fight against human trafficking. Unseen's primary method of combating trafficking is partnership - by supporting 32 anti-trafficking partners in 23 countries and 8 U.S. states, Unseen helps their portfolio of partners remove barriers to funding, increasing their reach to support important work - and we're honoured to help tell that story by supporting their digital presence.

Time flies when you're having fun, and those 14 years of having Matt Sage as part of our Yoyo team certainly have gone by in a flash. As one of Yoyo’s very first employees, Matt and his powerful and unique creative touches have been a huge part of making us the agency that we are today. It’s been a pleasure watching you grow with each year and its bittersweet saying goodbye but equally super proud of the next steps you're taking. We know you’ll smash it in the next part of your journey Matt and we’ll seriously miss you, but wish you every success.  ❤️
