It’s been an interesting week at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) TRANSSC 49. Great to see colleagues and meet new people. I haven’t always agreed with the decisions being made here but I appreciated the opportunity to provide an industry perspective to regulators. Thank you World Nuclear Association for the opportunity. Also very proud to see the work and industry support of the strong World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) delegation. Also want to thank the USA Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission – Commission canadienne de sûreté nucléaire delegations for having a clear industry mindset towards proposed changes even when consensus isn’t always in our favor.
