As we continue to receive enquires for COVID-19 related guidance and support, from local businesses our colleagues at Enterprise NI have produced a simple table of guidance based on what has been announced so far, with relevant dates, emails, numbers etc. This will be updated as measures progress. We hope that this will help you in this period of uncertainty. Our friends at Enterprise NI will continue to lobby to the Executive Office and relevant departments on the following: Employee support package - circa £200 per week per employee to support employees/businesses who are faced with layoffs. Rent Support to facilitate rent relief and deferral. Increase access to cash grants Increase Business Rates Holiday to 12 months A resilience fund for social enterprise, similar to what has been announced in Scotland.

About us
Work West Enterprise Agency, established in 1989 seeks to improve the economic and social profile of Belfast by motivating and enabling enterprising people to establish and expand job creating businesses. Work West is recognised as a market leader in the provision of support for those operating within the social economy and has delivered a range of social economy support programmes to groups and individual social entrepreneurs across the Eastern Region since 1989. For the past 24 years Work West has worked to stimulate an entrepreneurial culture and assist new start-up ventures. A major focus of the agency going forward is to encourage young people, both graduates and non-graduates, to set up new ventures. Ugrad is an example of the new innovative model Work West are now using to assist more youth start-ups. The agency assists businesses with their management skills and also provides support in a range of other areas including strategic planning, sales and marketing, managing finance, legal and statutory issues. We also deliver programmes aimed at assisting current businesses to help them grow. Work West support the business community through the provision of industrial and office space offering. We opened Northern Ireland’s first dedicated social economy village in 2009. The Work West site has 50,000 square foot of industrial space to let to private sector businesses and 15,000 square foot of office and industrial space to let to Social Enterprises at Work West’s dedicated Social Economy Village which was opened in 2009. The industrial and office space is available at affordable prices with favourable ‘easy in easy out’ contract conditions.
