🌟 Exciting News From Whitefield Youth Association! 🌟 RM PLASTERING AND DAMP PROOF SPECIALISTS BECOME PART OF THE WYA SPONSORSHIP SCHEME! Yesterday Saw Us Put An Appeal Out To Businesses To Become Part Of The WYA Corporate Sponsorship Scheme - Fifty Businesses To Support The Core Costs Of The Charity’s Work With A Minimum Donation Of £25.00 / Month Tax Deduction. This Was Set Up After The Charity’s Application To The #YouthInvestmentFund Was Unsuccessful. After A Strong Start And Managing To Recruit 25 Businesses For The Period 22/23, Unfortunately The Charity Lost Support From 6 Businesses. Today, We Are Thrilled To Announce That RM Plastering & Damp Proof Specialists Have Joined ** The Corporate Sponsorship Scheme**!🎉 Their Generous Support Will Help Us Continue To Make A Real, Positive Impact On The Communities Of Burnley, Pendle, Lancashire And Beyond. “As The Only Charity In The Area That Is Truly Committed To Providing Opportunities, Support, And Development For Local Young People In Particular, It Was Only Right That We Supported Them. Whitefield Youth Association Would Like To Wish Everyone The Very Best For The New Year! 23 Years Since First Being Established And Still Counting, Instilling Ambition, Aspiration And Belief With All Those That It Engages With Improving The Resilience Of The Communities That It Works In. What A 2024 It Has Been For The Charity – Increase In Numbers Directly Being Engaged With Through The projektswya Social Enterprise Initiative And Now Directly Delivering With Up To 300 Children, Young People And Adults On A Weekly Basis. To Top It Off The Charity Won The BBC Lancashire & BBC Morning Live Make A Difference Award - To Be Nominated Was One Thing, To Get In To The Final Was An Achievement, But To Win It Out Of Over 1000 Nominations Was Truly Humbling - A Testament To The Hard Work That We Have Been Putting In For Over 2 Decades! For A Small Grassroots Charity WYA Punches Well Above Its Weight Not Only In The Numbers That It Engages With But Also In The Way It Thinks And Does Things. Since 2018 In The Main The Operations To Deliver All Service Provision Has Been Self-Financed, This Demonstrates Clearly That The Charity Has A Sustainable Working Model That Enables It To Continue To Deliver Regardless Of Grant Funding Support But This Does Not Mean It Can Solely Survive Through That Alone – A Big Big Thank You Must Go Out To All The Individual Donors And Business Sponsors That Contribute Towards The Core Costs Of The Charity, There Is No Doubt Without Their Help WYA Will Not Be Able To Continue! In April 2023 The People Behind The Charity Increased Their Efforts To Try To Recruit A Minimum Of 50 Businesses To Support The Work That It Delivers, Currently, They Are Over 20 Businesses That Have Signed Up To The Donation For The 2024/25 Financial Year - The Charity Continues To Seek The Remaining Others – ALL HELP IS WELCOME. The Focus Now Shifts To Maintaining This Momentum And Building Upon It – THERE IS NO ROOM FOR COMPLACENECY! This Achievement Is Especially Astounding Given That Whitefield Youth Association Receives No Grant Funding From Any Funder Or Any Support From Local, Regional, Or National Government. This Is Humbling And Truly Groundbreaking For An Organisation Of Whitefield’s Size. It Raises A Critical Question However; Why Is Whitefield Youth Association, A Fully UK Registered Charity With 22 Years Of Extensive Experience, Service, Impact And Proven Track Record Of Positively Impacting Over 5000 Children, Young People And Adults Since Establishing In 2002 After The Burnley Riots, Continuously Being Overlooked By The Decision Makers?
