The Finest Hardwood Flooring

About us

Weldon’s fine parquetry, marquetry, antique and boarded floors are a defining feature of elegant private residences, historic public buildings and Royal Palaces across the British Isles, Europe and the Middle East. The singular skill and attention to detail of our craftsmen is matched only by the breadth and scale of the projects undertaken that have earned the company its distinguished reputation. A Weldon floor reflects both the quality of the finest natural materials, sourced from carefully selected woodlands, and the precision, care and experience that goes into preparing and laying each piece. Leading-edge design and quality control technology ensure that even the most complex, bespoke designs are accurately, faithfully and consistently realised. The company offers a Truly Bespoke service whereby floors are specially commissioned, made and installed specifically for customers. The design process is collaborative, and workshop visits to Nottinghamshire are encouraged. Every detail is handled by the team, from preparation of the sub-floor to teaching households how to look after their floors, thus ensuring enduring beauty in every floor. For those customers who are more price conscious or for whom time is an issue, a curated collection of flooring is also available, known as the Evolution floors. Still the exception quality expected of Weldon, but in more modular form enabling a quicker simpler layout and fit. Many of these floors can be pre-finished and are ideal for overseas clients.

  • 🌳 Weldon Flooring Supports the Restoration of Ancient Woodlands 🌳 At Weldon Flooring, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond creating exceptional timber floors. We believe in actively preserving and restoring the natural environments that give us the resources we cherish. That’s why we’re proud to announce a donation of £6,500 to The Woodland Trust, the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity, to help buy and restore Harrison Woodland—a remarkable 195-hectare ancient forest recorded in the Domesday Book and nestled in the breathtaking Lincolnshire Wolds. Harrison Woodland is a unique habitat, home to goshawks, one of only four pairs of nesting ravens in Lincolnshire, and the elusive white admiral butterfly. Steeped in history, it features two bowl barrows, ancient monuments that mark a Neolithic burial ground. Yet, past clear-felling and planting of non-native trees have left it in urgent need of restoration. Our contribution will aid The Woodland Trust’s efforts to restore this precious landscape to its natural state, ensuring it thrives for generations to come. At Weldon, we recognize that true craftsmanship starts with a respect for the source. Every step we take is aimed at enhancing sustainability and conserving woodlands—because the preservation of nature is integral to our craft and our values. Together, we can safeguard the future of ancient woodlands and foster a more sustainable world. 🌲💚

  • Amazing images following completion of restoration work at Two Temple Place, such an honour to have had the opportunity to work in this historic building. 🏰 Two Temple Place: a neo-Gothic gem on Victoria Embankment, commissioned by and built for William Waldorf Astor in the 1890s. 🖼 Today, the building is owned by registered charity The Bulldog Trust and showcase publicly-owned collections from around the UK. 🤝 The building is also available for hire. Two Temple Place is the perfect destination for any event, from corporate dinners to charity receptions, weddings, fashion shows, product launches or filming. 👷♂️ Weldon teams have restored the floor to its original glory, making sure to preserve the design and sourcing of timber. The floor has been manufactured in our workshop in Norwell, Nottinghamshire and carefully fitted on site by our team of craftsmen. 📸Max Trafford 📍 Two Temple Place
