About us

Webb & Gray create outstanding and sustainable designs in furniture and homeware. Handcrafted in our studio in Kent, each piece is unique, bold and luxurious. Our work is contemporary and design-led with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship. All our pieces are handmade from pre-loved furniture re-imagined into something beautiful and extraordinary. Both environmentally friendly and luxurious, our work perfectly blends style with sustainability in a modern and exciting way. Carrie Webb, the designer-maker behind Webb & Gray, is an interior designer of over ten years experience and has been upcycling furniture since 2016. Having worked on many high end hospitality projects she understands the importance of quality and durability as well as having a flair for innovative design. Supported by partner Bob Gray, Carrie produces a small collection of ready-to-buy pieces as well as undertaking bespoke commissions. Based in Kent’s seaside town of Margate, we source furniture from France and Belgium as well as from the UK, allowing us to offer a wider range of furniture styles. Webb & Gray is a member of the House of Upcycling and has been selected to represent them in their Industry Partnership with the British Institute of Interior Design for 2020. We are very proud of this achievement as the BIID is the UK’s only professional institute for interior designers and as such a highly regarded professional body. The House of Upcycling is the UK’s leading platform for professional upcycling and works tirelessly to promote and elevate the status of upcycling. You can now find our work within the supplier directory on the BIID website. Click here to visit https://biid.org.uk/webb-gray

  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ruby was recently delivered to her new home and this is what our customer had to say. "I bought a ruby red plant stand which I love. It looks exactly as it does on the website. The whole process was super easy, communication was great it was sent swiftly and packaged well. thank you so much - I’ll be back!" - Alex 😁 So glad you're happy Alex! Here's a little bit about the piece: ❤️ Ruby | Red plant stand with metallic detail Inspired by Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2023 ‘Viva Magenta’ we have created ‘Ruby,’ this stunning tall plant stand in vibrant red. This solid wood vintage plant stand has been hand painted and waxed. The fluted carved details have been highlighted with red dyed genuine silver leaf. The hand gilded finish has a beautiful texture, a soft sheen and natural variations in colour. Red silver leaf from @goldleafsupply

  • Rainbows!🌈 The dyded genuine silver leaf I use for my candlesticks is such a beautiful finish. The colours are vibrant but not harsh and have a gorgeous soft sheen. And they all work so well together. It's a tricky material to work with being more brittle than imitation silver leaf but so worth it! These luxury, sustainable candlesticks have been handmade from reclaimed antique and vintage table legs. Each candle holder is a one-off handcrafted piece. #gilding #gilded #silver #rainbowdecor #artisanhomedecor #sustainableluxury

  • Interior Design Trends/ 2024 Predictions Trends are always a hot topic in the design world – should you follow them, should you ignore them altogether? More and more, interior design is about individuality and your home being a reflection of you. However, the fact remains that we are all affected by what is and isn’t in fashion. Trends determine what you see in the media, online and in the shops. My personal view is that trends can be inspiring but you shouldn’t be ruled by them. As a designer it’s important for me to be aware of trends and I tend to embrace the ones I like and that fit with the Webb & Gray brand and forget the rest. I think it’s the same when considering the design of your home – by all means include pieces that are ‘on trend’ but don’t base your entire design on it. By definition trends come and go, much better to choose things you genuinely love – they will make you happy and stand the test of time. Which, if any, trends will you be embracing this year? Read our latest blog post for my roundup of some of the top interior design trend predictions for 2024 along with a few of my personal opinions! https://lnkd.in/dG7JXj29
