Last Thursday, we hosted the last Watford Premier Network event at Vicarage Road for 2024. The Gallery Lounge was full of business leaders from Watford and surrounding areas. Kristian Hitchins, Impact and Communications Manager at Watford FC Community Trust, gave a glimpse into their impact within the community, how they work with the football club and upcoming events and activation opportunities. At Tuesday evening’s match against Bristol City, we introduced the ‘Ask for Angela’ scheme, which will now be in use at all of our home matches. All of our matchday staff have been trained and briefed in how to respond if someone ‘Asks for Angela’, and one of our matchday safeguarding supervisors will escort supporters to a designated place of safety. As with all types of discrimination, we’re committed to taking appropriate action against those involved in incidents of sexism and misogyny at our matches. We stand with those supporters who’ve been subjected to unwanted attention and harassment. https://lnkd.in/ej-TgXHC
