Success from our first client, Nicholas Mutiso in Kenya! Nicholas wanted to grow avocados and supply water to his whole community. He failed the first time. His main challenge was the overall aridity of the place and the systematic striking of saline water. So he decided to call us. By coupling our intelligence with the field work of hydrogeological company GeoTruth Consult, Nicholas has struck the highest yielding, best quality water source of the region. He is now able to fulfill his personal and hydrosolidarity project. And soon, crops will grow. Nicholas is a what we call a water guardian. 💧Get started on your water guardian journey and connect with the WATAI team to learn more www.watai.earth #WaterTechnology #Sustainability #ClimateAction #FollowTheWater #SDG6 #ClimateResilience #WASH #GreenTech #Water

In 2013, amidst one of Kenya’s worst water crises, Dr. Alain Gachet saw what others couldn't in Turkana. While others focused on survival, he saw a solution that would reshape the future. While examining water potential in the Kakuma refugee camp, Alain’s decades of expertise in oil and water exploration led to an extraordinary discovery – a massive aquifer, capable of providing clean water for millions of Kenyans for up to 70 years. What led to this discovery? A revolutionary system called #WATEX. 📹 Discover more about the ‘water wizard’ in this clip from ‘Daring Abroad’ by Chams Media: https://lnkd.in/dbFqB_8n 💧 Interested in how WATAI is transforming water security with advanced groundwater insights? • On a recent trip to #Kenya, we connected with our long-time community partners and met new local leaders, NGOs and water professionals. Turkana, Kenya is not only the ‘cradle of humanity’ where the oldest nearly complete skeleton of Homo erectus was uncovered, but also one of the driest regions in the world. It’s a region that can’t afford to ignore the rippling effects of climate change. 10 years after first uncovering groundwater in the Turkana region, we continue on our mission to build a water self-sufficient future. WATAI’s first #WaterStewards are early beta testers of our latest developments in scalable groundwater exploration & protection software solutions. We’ve developed a groundbreaking (literally) mobile app that delivers advanced groundwater and nature insights at your fingertips. In seconds. From real estate developers to non-profits, the path to accelerating climate resilience through regenerative water planning has never been so clear. Thank you to our #WaterStewards for joining in regenerating our planet’s green capital and building a water self-sufficient future. Want to get involved? • The key to sustainable water management lies in understanding groundwater as a living, dynamic system. We must design regenerative water infrastructure that works with natural systems, not against them. If you agree, and you're working on projects that can benefit from a data-driven approach to nature-based water and land management, let's talk 🌍 #ClimateResilience #NbS #noBS #FollowTheWater #WATEX #Groundwater #SpaceTech

Space for Regeneration | Founder of WATAI - Regenerative Water Planning

STOP EVERYTHING, WE'VE BEEN LOOKING AT GROUNDWATER ALL WRONG. This is my realization after 8 years of working on water scarcity issues in the agri sector, especially in Chile and Kenya...We've treated it as a static resource to be extracted, rather than a dynamic system to be understood and managed. It’s about fundamentally reimaging our relationship with water and land. This mindset shift is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL and here's why: - Metric-precision groundwater insights isn't just about knowing where to drill. It's about understanding the pulse of our planet's circulatory system. (Kind of like a human body; you know... but much bigger 🌍 #fractalworld) - This understanding allows you to design regenerative water infrastructure that works with natural systems, not against them. (Why would anyone work against themselves or their grand kids? Huh? Why? 🙄 #okboomer) - For reforestation and afforestation projects, it gives you the keys to differentiate between monoculture tree planting and creating thriving, self-sustaining ecosystems. (Would you the same food 3 times a day everyday for your whole life just because it is catalogued as healthy food? 🤔 #eucalyptus) - In ecosystem protection, it gives us the tools to predict and prevent cascading failures before they start. (This is called prevention, you know... like drinking enough water, getting your daily cardio or fasting once a week 👨⚕️ #nohealthadvicehere) And the applications of metric-precision groundwater insights are vaaast: - Nature-based solutions become data-driven, measurable, and scalable. - Soil erosion prevention can evolve from reactive to proactive. - Water management evolves from allocation to true stewardship. - Drought warnings transform from general alerts to precise, actionable intelligence. - Forest fire prevention becomes a year-round, data-informed practice. By leveraging space technology for metric-precision groundwater measurements, we're not just gathering data – we're gaining a new lens through which to view our planet's health and resilience. (Ok, I'm stopping the cringe human body-earth analogy but you get the gist... it's vital 💧) I'm curious: How do you see precision groundwater data changing your field? What possibilities does it open up that weren't there before? #WaterStewardship #ClimateResilience #RegenerativeDevelopment #SpaceTech #groundwater #NbS #noBS 👋 P.S. If you're working on projects that could benefit from this kind of data-driven approach to water and land management, let's talk. The potential for impact here is enormous, and I'm always looking to connect with others who see it too.

  • It's the invisible tsunami: #Groundwater is our planet’s fundamental necessity, yet it’s entirely mismanaged, undervalued and overlooked until it’s too late. In honor of #WorldWaterWeek here are 10 reasons why we all need to pay more attention to groundwater, and protect it: TL;DR: #WaterSecurity must be a collective effort Read more → https://lnkd.in/d4Vfqd3D 👇 The alarming facts above don’t diminish our hope and vision of a water self-sufficient planet. Land sustains life on Earth. Natural spaces, such as forests, farmlands, savannahs, peatlands and mountains, provide humanity with the food, water and raw materials it needs to survive. Yet, more than 2 billion hectares of the world’s land is degraded, affecting more than 3 billion people. Here are 7 ways to actively participate in restoring these vital landscapes and combat the global challenges of desertification and drought.
