🎉 Influential in Verlume’s technology development for a decade! This week we are celebrating an employee milestone, with Robert Heron having reached 10 years with the business! Robert was one of the founding employees, having also been the lead designer of our first ever deployed system - the Subsea Powerhub. The development of this system (now a legacy product) was crucial in identifying a market gap and shifting our focus towards intelligent energy management and energy storage in 2017. With a strong history and experience of developing technology and innovation within Verlume, Robert was recently promoted to Head of Engineering and Product where he now has accountability for all of the Engineering and Technology activities across the business. Also sitting within the leadership team, Robert contributes to navigating the team towards the realisation of our company’s mission - to provide subsea power solutions for the energy industry in ways that have never been done before. ➡️In case you missed it… We recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Proserv, a leading provider of cutting-edge control technologies to energy companies.🎉 🌎Under the terms of the MoU, Proserv and Verlume will integrate Proserv’s subsea control and communications systems with Verlume’s subsea intelligent energy management and battery technology to improve the efficiency of subsea power delivery. By utilising an integrated approach, a unique market offering will be created which aims to provide reliable power to remote, subsea assets. This enhanced level of system integration will reduce energy consumption by as much as 50% and significantly improve operational flexibility, reliability and reduce costs. 🎉 Joint winners of the Hart Energy E&P Meritorious Engineering Award for Innovation!   We are pleased to have jointly won the Hart Energy E&P Meritorious Engineering Award (MEA) for Innovation in Subsea Systems, alongside Renewables for Subsea Power (RSP) project co-lead Mocean Energy. The award will be presented at an event in Midland, Texas later today during the DUG Executive Oil Conference. It is a great achievement to be recognised for the creation of the world’s first offshore renewable energy microgrid within the RSP project! RSP saw the successful completion of a 13-month offshore deployment, integrating Verlume’s Halo subsea battery energy storage system, Mocean Energy’s Blue X wave energy converter, Transmark Subsea AS’s ARV-i Autonomous Underwater Vehicle and dock, as well as Baker Hughes’ Subsea Electronics Module.
