  • It is almost 2025 and I still see hospitality businesses sabotage their venues and revenues making these mistakes, everywhere. Gone are the days when you could slap a picture of your new weekly special and cover it with hashtags like 'dish of the day', '[townname]', and so on. Gone are also the days when you post once every few weeks or days and your customers will see your post and run to your venue to visit you. It's really time to realise that your digital presence (read: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) IS your storefront. It IS your best marketing tool. It is impossible to run successful marketing channels AND run a venue at the same time. You need someone to have a clear vision and do what they do best. Someone like me. Reach out for help. Don't miss out on customers and becoming THE GO-TO venue in your local area. Ask me how. I don't bite. #HospitalityMarketing #HospitalityIndustry

  • Social media has changed drastically in a very short amount of time. The social media 'definition' of 'high-quality content' has also changed. High quality no longer only means pretty, perfectly edited pictures of your dishes or restaurant or dynamic videos that cost ££££'s. And this is coming from ME - a former photographer/videographer and marketer for hospitality. While using that content is great if you can afford to invest in it - high-quality content involves so much more. Your content is high-quality if it awakens emotions in your audience. Your content is high-quality if it prompts a reaction from your audience. Your content is high-quality if it turns the viewer into your customer. But marketing your restaurant or bar on social media goes way beyond that. Make sure you check out my stories [Instagram: @venuevision_uk] daily, where I share great examples of social media content done by local and not-so-local but independent businesses. Take inspiration from it and re-evaluate what you are putting out there on your venue's page. Remember that the majority of your customers hang out somewhere online and before choosing your restaurant, they will look you up online first. They want to see what you offer, they want to feel the atmosphere of your place before committing to spend their hard-earned money in your venue, in this economy! They want to feel connected to you in some way. You don't need to invest ££££ to see some great results. You can do it yourself. Chat with me to find out how! 30-minute initial consultation to set you on the right path to help you generate more profit. It's not a lot of time, is it? Oh, and it's free! • The one huge problem with menu changes... They are pointless, unless you do them sporadically, introduce something brand new or innovative or change the style altogether (not the cuisine (Christ!), just the type of dining, for example). Here's the huge problem. Most 'menu changes' being announced are not changes. They are re-shifted dishes, unoriginal ideas, or simply just a reduced menu where customers find out you've taken off their favourites. There are many, many, MANY reasons for this, I know this inside out. But there are better ways to go about it. Change your menu less often. When announcing changes, make sure it is an actual change/new offering. When adding/removing dishes, look at your customer's purchasing behaviours and see how you can best compromise between them and your suppliers. For more advice, follow my account or message me for a 30-minute initial (and free!) consultation. Can be face-to-face or virtual, whatever suits you. _______ #HospitalityConsultant | #HospitalityIndustry | #Restaurant | #BusinessConsultant | #BusinessDevelopment

  • Your business decisions can't be emotional. Even as a well-established business, it is easy to fall into the emotional trap. The panic-thinking. The dramatising. Almost every business is saveable - of course, depending on individual circumstances. But your business is saveable. You just need to look a little deeper than frantically trying anything and everything to make it work again. It has to be done rationally. Strategically. Following a process. This is what I specialise in. To help you develop that process and strategy. So what are you waiting for? You know what to do. _______ #HospitalityConsultant | #BusinessDevelopment | #Restaurants | #RestaurantBusiness | #HospitalityIndustry | #CostOfLivingCrisis

Your customers are sick of seeing your 'new special offer'. It's not special. May be new in your venue... But amid #CostOfLivingCrisis it certainly isn't viewed as special. I am picking at words here. You're right. It is hard out here, I know. It's not an easy task to come up with new ways to entice customers to visit your venue out of the 100s to choose from. There are ways to help it. There are ways to make your new offer appeal more to your customers than the 1000s of other offers out there. But it doesn't start with an announcement on social media or a 10% discount just because. It starts with a lot of background grunt work to get your business to a point where such an actual 'special' offer is viable. Otherwise, your customers see through it as just a marketing ploy. It's 2024, and those tactics do not work anymore. Want to know more? Comment 'SPECIAL' below and we'll arrange a 1-1 consultation (absolutely free) to see how we can make that happen for your venue. ________ #HospitalityConsultant #HospitalityIndustry #RestaurantOwners #BusinessOwners #BusinessDevelopment #BusinessConsultant

  • Monthly reports. Do you get those done? Many hospitality business owners get so wrapped up in day-to-day tasks and chasing bookings or profit that they forget this is vital to staying on track with your business. Your accountant may provide you with a monthly report. Your marketing manager may provide you with one, too. Your chef may provide you with one regarding orders/wastage. Do YOU carry one out to see where you are at in other areas of the business? Do you create a monthly report combining all those mentioned reports into one and analysing where exactly you are falling short, where you are succeeding and which are the stress areas that need extra attention? A hospitality business is just like any other business. You really need to be tracking everything that makes your business what it is for it to succeed. I'm aware that as a business owner, there are so many hours in the day. So why not outsource that extra work to a professional who will point out to you exactly where you are in certain aspects of the business - and also guide you towards improving those processes? You know what to do. ____ #HospitalityConsultant | #BusinessConsultant | #HospitalityIndustry | #HospitalityMarketing | #RestaurantOwners | #BusinessOwners

  • It all starts with the initial discussion... You get half an hour of my expertise (probably more as I'm quite chatty and passionate!) for free, and you can then decide what you want to do about it. I am here to provide guidance first and foremost. To help you realise which processes are failing your business and the best route to fix them. Of course, I can also offer a more hands-on approach - but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Listen. Learn. Apply. Three golden words in the world of business. ________ #restaurantowners #venuesearch #venuesetup #hospitalityindustry #hospitalitymarketing #hospitalityconsultant #consultancyservices #businessservices #southamptonuk #southamptonbusiness #businessdeveloper #businessdevelopmentcoach #businessdevelopmentmanager #businessimprovement #hampshirelife #hampshireliving

Empty tables? Lack of bookings? And costs sky-rocketing. Have you caught yourself saying one or more of the following? 1. 'Oh but it's the weather' 2. 'The busy season is coming' 3. 'People choose chains/big restaurants' 4. 'It's because of cost of living crisis' You are not wrong but also, you are not entirely right, either. Sure, all those facts play into the success of a restaurant but how come you are struggling, and Bob next door is fully booked most nights? What is Bob doing that's different? I'm sure your food is just as delicious and prices are fairly similar. If you can't figure out what the issue is- how about you reach out for some help? Help from someone who has helped many (so many!) restaurants with fresh strategies, innovative ideas, and implemented new approaches - might be just the game-changer you needed. Send me a message or Whatsapp me on 077435323 to arrange a 1-1 free consultation. __________ #businessconsultant #businessconsultancy #restaurantconsultants #restaurantbusiness #businessowners #restaurantowners #hospitalityuk #cozzielivs #CostOfLivingCrisis #southamptonuk #hampshirebusiness #hampshireuk #soletsconnect #southamptonnetworking #EconomyCrisis

  • A hospitality consultant may not be for you. If you aren't ready to invest in business improvement for your venue, that is okay. It means you are doing just fine, right? Maybe. Or maybe you are still unaware of the problems that your venue is experiencing right now from staff shortages, to supplier costs vs wastage, to what your customers are expecting versus what they are getting? It is easy to overlook some major issues when you are so close to the business. Happens to the best of us. So sometimes, it is good to have a consultation with someone who has a fresh pair of eyes, to look into your restaurant operations and see how you could improve so that you maintain stability and steady business growth. Hola! You can Whatsapp me: 07743532322 - and we can arrange a free consultation! No strings attached. _________ #hampshirebusiness #hampshirerestaurants #bestrestaurantsuk #restaurantowners #localcuisine #authenticcuisine #authenticfood #greekrestaurant #italianrestaurant #indianrestaurant #britishrestaurants #businessconsultant #restaurantconsultant #hospitalityconsultant #hospitalityhelp #hospitalityindustry
