We have successfully moved on to the next phase of #VLE excellence: The Learn Optimised for In-course Submission and #Assessment (LOUISA) project. #Project board and user groups have been assembled to design and develop university-wide change towards consistent #workflows for online #submission of assessment and #feedback.

How do you make your zebra (aka university) stand out in a field of lots of equally attractive zebras? Just one of many super takeaways from our in-house marcomms conference yesterday. 🦓 Adam Smith from The Gate said that consistency is good. And even better, you should be aiming to be bored with this consistency in your work! This is how you get results! Mark Egan did a great presentation on storytelling. Stories are sticky so you should make storytelling a priority. But don't make the mistake of positioning yourself/your company as the hero of every story. Noted. Fiona Morrison from THE talked about measuring reputation. Turns out our alumni are the biggest influencer for university when it comes to brand reputation - something I bang on about a lot but feel we could do more work on. 📢 Development and Alumni colleagues, how can we work together more? Some super breakout sessions too including a fascinating insight into university branded merchandise; I'll never look at a uni sweater or piece of art which says The University of Edinburgh on it in the same light again...

We’ve completed our migration on the The University of Edinburgh #website. 80,000 pages of content, 40,000 documents, 90,000 images on to a new platform and 800 colleagues across the university have been trained how to use it #sustainably and #accessibly. Time to rest and celebrate.
