📚 Public libraries can be the perfect venues for people to access digital cultural content. We worked with Coventry Library Service, Arts Council England, BFI, BBC, Libraries Connected and MEDIA ARCHIVE OF CENTRAL ENGLAND LIMITED on a project that connected communities with digital culture and creativity. We’ve pulled together our learnings to create a series of guides for libraries, staff and other place-based arts organisations. Useful for those who might be thinking about developing creative place-based digital partnerships. https://lnkd.in/eptzHzPJ #libraries
The Space (Digital Arts)
Technology, Information and Internet
We support arts organisations and artists to develop work and reach audiences online.
About us
The Space brings arts organisations, artists and technology together to make great art and reach new audiences. We do this by commissioning projects, building digital skills, and helping organisations and venues reach more people using digital media. https://linktr.ee/TheSpaceDigital We were founded by Arts Council England and the BBC to make arts and culture for everyone, support new talent and original work, and help the creative economy grow. The Arts Council England supports our training and development work, and Creative Scotland, the Arts Council of Wales and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland fund and support commissions outside England. We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) with an independent Board of Directors from technology, media and the arts. If you’re a UK arts professional, artist, digital media or production company, we're interested in working with you. What could society gain by listening more to the voices of artists and storytellers? Artists and storytellers have historically played crucial roles in shaping societal narratives and fostering cultural discourse. Recently, however, their presence in mainstream discussions appears to have diminished. We've proposed a panel session at SXSW London 2025 exploring this topic, asking how can we bring artists and storytellers back into public discourse? If you'd love to see this happen, please show your support by following these quick and easy steps: 1. Click this link: https://lnkd.in/dsnYj_5c 2. Log in or sign up (it’s quick and free) 3. Search for the session title - below - to vote. How can we bring artists and storytellers back into public discourse? (A search for 'Public Discourse' also works!) Many thanks in advance for your support in bringing this exciting event to the stage next summer. #SXSWLondon2025 #Conference #PublicVote
