Exciting news from the Society of Sports Therapists! We’re thrilled to announce our official endorsement of Power Up to Play, a groundbreaking charity initiative dedicated to improving young player welfare in grassroots sport through the prevention of serious knee injuries. Power Up To Play is a charity initiative set up by medical professionals to offer free training to coaches, showing them how to use a simple, evidence-based warm-up that reduces serious knee injuries in high-risk sports. As sports therapists, we know the value of keeping participants active, injury-free, and performing at their best. Power Up to Play aligns with our mission by promoting strategies to prevent and mitigate injury, recovery, and overall well-being in sports.
