Rebuilding lives after brain injury
About us
The Silverlining Charity specialises in the support of all those effected by brain injury. We aim to educate the public about brain injury, help people find a philanthropic purpose post injury and support the growth and development of all those affected by brain injury. Our work is led by those we help. We give our clients (Silverliners) the opportunity to run and manage social events and personal challenges for the benefit of charities close to their hearts with the support of volunteers, professionals, friends and family. These events provide a sense of purpose, numerous rehabilitative benefits, a strong source of social support and most importantly an opportunity to have a great time in the company of people who understand the challenges Silverliners face. The Silverlining Charity’s West Midlands Group had a wonderful Christmas Meal on Wednesday 11th December 2024. It was lovely to see everyone and enjoy delicious food and drinks. Many thanks to Irwin Mitchell Birmingham for their kindness and generosity for subsidising the meal for everyone. We are also very grateful to Ask Italian, 56 New Street, Birmingham, for looking after us and making the day so special. It really is the most wonderful time of the year 🎅🎄☃️

Laween Saadi, our Link Worker and Rehabilitation Assistant, visited the Bradley Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit at Woking Community Hospital today, which is part of Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He was delighted to meet and speak with members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT). Laween outlined the support and services that The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity provides for its members (Silverliners). We are always delighted to support patients during their hospital stay and after they return home. Many thanks to Jayne, Dr Ali, Dr Mariangela Bati, and everyone in the MDT. Here is the link to apply for free membership: https://lnkd.in/erzhggw6 We send our very best wishes to everyone in the Bradley Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit 🥰💙🌈

Absolute delight to have Laween Saadi join us at BIS Services training day on Friday to speak to us about the wonderful The Silverlining Charity. Our Team was delighted to hear about all of the activities and fundraising that the charity are providing, and I'm sure more volunteers will be on the way. We rolled out our new rehab plan and risk assessment frameworks, and continued our popular case study clinic workshops. Topped off with the Christmas party, with lots of new rehab assistants joining Team BIS.
