We're thrilled to post some recent photos and feedback we've had from the #ConnectOutdoors programme. The Trust partnered with Tiso Group and Mhor Outdoor on this educational hiking programme, aiming to introduce people from under-represented communities to the outdoors. Through sustainable, educational, and empowering outdoor activity we hoped to inspire long-term and meaningful connection with wild places and we're thrilled to see feedback that reflects this goal. #connectoutdoors #outdoorskills #hiking #connection"

About us
We are a conservation charity dedicated to the experience, protection and repair of wild places. Alongside communities nationwide, we connect people with wild places, campaign to protect those places, and restore and rewild land for the common good. The John Muir Trust stewards wild land on the west coast of Scotland including Ben Nevis, areas of Skye, Knoydart and Sutherland, as well as East Schiehallion (Perthshire), the Scottish Borders, and Glenridding Common (Lake District). Collaborating with local partners, we work towards landscape-scale restoration of natural processes; the expansion of native woodlands, the nurturing of rare mountain plants, and on footpath repair through some of the country's wildest places. The Trust campaigns to protect wild places wherever needed and advocates for policy changes that benefit all life - plants, animals and humans. We support natural climate solutions such as carbon capture. Through the John Muir Award, we inspire and encourage people from all walks of life to enjoy, connect and care for wild nature and to get involved in direct, practical action to benefit themselves and their environment. Almost 390,000 people have completed their John Muir Award to date.

What a way to celebrate international mountain day!!!! Our land provides some of the UK’s most iconic ranges. Visit the links provided and get involved with The John Muir Trust.
It's #InternationalMountainDay and we'd like to celebrate some of the precious peaks we have in our care. 🌄 Join us in appreciating these mountains for what they are: essential habitats, iconic landmarks and stunning #wildplaces. 1. Knoydart- Ladhar Bheinn, the most westerly Munro on Scottish mainland. 🗻 2. Nevis- Ben Nevis summit and slopes to the left John Muir Trust land, the rest Jahama Highland Estates. ❄️ 3. Schiehallion- Our land on East Schiehallion covers 871 hectares of breathtaking views, iconic landscapes and a diverse range of habitats. 🐾 4. Quinag- In the Assynt–Coigach National Scenic Area, not a single mountain but a dramatic range of peaks. 🏔️ 5. Skye- Our land covers Blà Bheinn, standing apart from the rest of the Cuillin Ridge. 🌫️ You can find out more about the land we care for here: https://lnkd.in/e3RpwxJm
