  • Marketing leaders... Did you know a single website page view can leave a carbon footprint? (A big one). We promise this is relevant to marketing🤦♀️, but first, a few stats from the industry: 1. A single-page view of Visa's site uses the same energy as boiling a kettle five times. 2. A Legal & General page view emits the same carbon one tree absorbs in a whole year. 3. A McKinsey & Company page view creates as much CO2 as a full smartphone charge. For Visa's website alone, that's 40,432kg of CO2 annually—that's the same as charging a smartphone nearly 13 million times. From page views. 👀 The interesting bit is that the choices you make when building, designing, and hosting your firm's website can have a great impact on the planet AND your marketing goals. Did you spot us on the BBC Breakfast sofa? Ahead of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship starting on Sunday, our CEO Laura, joined the new ambassador of #TheBIGGER180, Sir Chris Hoy. Since Sir Chris spoke about his own diagnosis, we've seen almost 300,000 people take our online risk checker, with more than three-quarters of them having one or more of the three main risk factors of disease, including family history. Now Sir Chris is supporting The BIGGER 180 campaign. Last year, Paddy Power donated £1 million to support our lifesaving risk awareness work and this year, we aim to smash that total, with funds supporting our groundbreaking TRANSFORM screening trial. This trial will find the best way to diagnose the disease early - and pave the way for a national screening programme that could save thousands of lives. Building high-intent lead-generating websites for B2B Marketing Leaders | Founder of Cogworks | CMS & Tech Specialist | Umbraco Community Advocate | Agency Leadership Veteran

So, time for a bit of self-congratulation I think. I realised the other day that we don't really shout out very often about all the great work we do….so…. Time for a humblebrag…! Let's talk about one of our clients - Russell-Cooke. A medium-sized law firm based in London who came to us with a website that wasn't generating enough high-quality leads, had a confusing navigation and suffered from an overly complex user journey for potential clients to follow. This made it difficult for them to know how or who to contact and convert them into paying clients! But after working with us… 8 weeks after launch, they achieved: A-security rating 90%+ lighthouse scores +19% organic traffic After 1 year of launching, their website achieved: +125% in new users +135% in homepage visitors + 331% in career page visitors +256% in contact page visits +263% in referral traffic 💪 Well done, Russell-Cooke! If you’re also a B2B marketing leader working in a professional service firm and would like to smash your lead gen targets, send me a direct message and I’ll send you some details.

Building high-intent lead-generating websites for B2B Marketing Leaders | Founder of Cogworks | CMS & Tech Specialist | Umbraco Community Advocate | Agency Leadership Veteran

Well, I've been on LinkedIn since April 2007! And I don't think I've ever really introduced myself properly 😅 So… Hi LinkedIn! I'm Adam, a Londoner who moved to Stamford at age 3 and to Scotland as an 8-year-old. I slowly moved back south via Derby in my teens, Bristol after Uni, and then back to London in 1999. I founded Cogworks way back in 2006, a year before I joined LinkedIn! The boring marketing puff says, “Cogworks focuses on helping B2B companies fully leverage the potential of their web content, creating scalable, user-centred digital experiences that engage, inform, and drive results." In non-marketing speak, we basically design and build bloody good websites to help companies get more sales. We've worked with a load of amazing clients over the years, and have a knack for retaining them for a very long period of time! - 8 years is our current record, and it's still going strong! Aside from working with a ton of friendly B2B marketing and tech leaders… I'm a failed (wannabe) International DJ, semi-retired drummer, expert burger flipper for a very famous fast food chain and I once met Bobby Robson (he had really bad coffee breath!) I love cooking and would probably have preferred to have been a chef if I wasn't doing this website gig! 🥯I make a mean homemade (entirely from scratch) sourdough Neapolitan pizza, melt in the mouth slow cooked pulled pork with homemade barm cakes (soft baps for all the Southerners reading this) and have perfected all component parts of the epic Brick Lane salt beef bagel! And if I could have an unlimited type of food, it would have to be proper chips from a northern chippy smothered in proper thick gloopy gravy - not the weird brown watery version you sometimes get in southern chippies! Anyway, that's me. Feel free to say hi in the comments! …and let me know what your favourite food is!👇

Restoring just over 10 laptops doesn't sound like much. But wow—we're so touched to learn about the impact of our recent volunteering for our charity partner, Community TechAid ✨ (If you don't know, Community TechAid is dedicated bridging the digital divide by providing access to technology, skills, and opportunities for people in need in the South London Area) Our humble pile of 10 laptops helped change lives by: 🙌 Enabling a health and social care student to complete assignments from home! 🙌 Empowering a woman in her 60s to attend IT classes and gain confidence! 🙌 Providing a young carer the chance to study independently while balancing her caregiving responsibilities! 🙌 Helping job seekers refine their CVs, apply for roles, and develop skills critical for career progression! And the environmental impact of just 10 laptops? 🌎 Our contributions avoided over 1,046 kg of CO2 emissions by extending device lifespans. 🌎 We diverted 42 kg of e-waste from landfills thanks to device recycling and refurbishment. If you're feeling inspired, why not donate your unused devices to Community TechAid today and help transform lives while protecting the planet (link below) 👇✨ #DigitalInclusion #TechForGood #CommunityTechAid #SustainableTech #EwasteReduction #VolunteerImpact #SouthLondon #TechCharity #DigitalPoverty #TechEmpowerment

Persons with disabilities make up 16% of the global population 📊 yet they rarely access leadership roles, including in the health sector. Too often they face barriers and are denied fair chances at accessing health services. Persons with disabilities have the right to achieve their highest levels of health—just like anyone else. Health is a basic human right, not a privilege. More: https://bit.ly/417LJYm
