📣 Important news in the EU settlement space… European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has now appointed Giovanni Sabatini as independent industry chair to oversee and coordinate the EU's migration to a T+1 settlement cycle. This follows ESMA's final report on the subject, which recommends the EU transition to T+1 by October 2027. A-Team Insight, from A-Team Group, recently covered this story and included important insights from Taskize’s interim CEO, James Pike, who commented: “ESMA’s proposal to achieve T+1 in the EU by October 2027 will present its challenges, though they can be met. One of the tallest hurdles we must surmount is the communications challenge to resolving settlement issues... The solution?
