STEMAZING

Over the past 3 months I have completed the STEMAZING Inpiration Academy. For the final month I delivered 4 sessions at a primary school to show the year 3/4 children how great STEM is and how everything around us involves STEM. It was great to see the children being so enthusiastic about STEM and being curious and asking lots of questions! This program has helped me gain confidence in delivering STEM sessions! Can’t wait to deliver more STEM sessions in 2025! #stemazing #STEM

> 12,500 young people and > 36,000 STEM engagements all led by #womeninstem #rolemodels in 2024!! We always try to do multiple different engagements with the same children hence many more engagements than children - but we know from feedback that this is what works 🎉 🌟 75% teachers said STEMAZING sessions SIGNIFICANTLY improved #stem #gender #stereotype mis-perceptions in their class. 🌟 70% teachers said STEMAZING sessions SIGNIFICANTLY increased #stem career aspirations in their class. Ready to hear more? 🔥 Our STEMAZING IMPACT REPORT for 2024 is here! 2024 really has been another STEMAZING year! Thanks to our incredible community of change makers, we have grown our collective impact in so many ways - together driving an inspiration and inclusion revolution! Our award-winning core programme - the STEMAZING Inspiration Academy - has produced some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G results this year: 💖 219 women in STEM role models were empowered through the programme in 2024. 💖 605 women in total since the Inspiration Academy started! 💛 12,574 children were engaged in STEMAZINGKids experiments and activities in 2024.  💛 45,030 children in total since the start. 🧡 36,782 STEMAZINGKids experiments led by STEMAZINGWomen role models in 2024. 🧡 165,623 in total since the start. WOW! Those figures really drive home the importance of what STEMAZING do. 🤯 Shoutout to our very own Jesha Soni - the human calculator - for managing all of our STEMAZING data! We couldn’t be more proud of the impact we are having thanks to our role models, Partners, schools and of course the real people we do this for, the children, who make it all worthwhile and so much fun! “What a wonderful opportunity for our pupils and school. It raised the profile of women in STEM and the children loved all of the activities. It was fun, interactive and having the resources provided for us was brilliant.” ⭐ Thank you to Woodlands Primary School for their kind words. This is actually useful - What does my LinkedIn #rewind say about me and my focus this year? Transforming barriers into bridges for talent! I like that. It’s a good summary of what I try to do! Do you get ‘comparisonitis’ at the end of the year and undermine your own achievements and successes? I’ve noticed this vibe in some of my mentees recently and am even guilty of it myself at times. It’s too easy to fall into this trap especially at this reflective time of year. What I find helpful when I spot these thoughts creeping in: 🌟 Remind myself that I get to define what success means to me and say what this is out loud. 🌟 Write down at least 3 things I am really proud of myself for right now - can be small or big. 🌟 Set myself a micro-goal for moving one step closer to my personal vision of success that I can do TODAY. This is a little exercise my mentees and I can do together and shifts the mindset from “I’m not as successful as them” to “I have agency over my own version of success”. We can celebrate and champion other people’s success whilst at the same time recognising and championing our own version of success.
