We're thrilled to announce a major victory in the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) for BT, represented by Patrick Boylan, Eleanore Di Claudio, Alice Lauterjung, Josh Farquharson, Vanessa Sharman, Anna Crellin, and Rachel Malloch. The case, Justin Le Patourel v BT, is notable as the first opt-out competition collective action to go to trial in the UK, with the CAT dismissing a claim exceeding £1.3bn against BT.   In our article, we delve into the critical aspects of the case, including the CAT's approach to assessing fairness and economic value, which led to this favourable outcome. Last week, in true Simmons tradition, our annual London Carol Service took place at St Margaret Lothbury Church, organised by our Christians at Simmons employee diversity network. ✨🎄   There was a fantastic turn out with around 80 people attending - we even attracted some tourists passing by!   The carol service was a wonderful opportunity for colleagues to come together, enjoy festive music and a mince pie to finish. 🎵 🥧   From the service, we were able to raise £303 for the Salvation Army which the firm has matched, totaling £606.   A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, participated, donated and made this gathering so special. #Christmasfestivities #diversityandinclusion #Christiannetwork #community #traditions
