Let's start this week's Friday roundup with some incredible news! Thanks to the generous support of our members, we raised an amazing £1070 for Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith at our annual AGM and Christmas Lunch. This week, we had the pleasure of presenting the donation to this impactful charity. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed. 🌟💙 Gwynneth Slavin attended MyWorkwear's Connect and Collaborate event at Severn Hospice in Shrewsbury, where she met with some familiar and friendly faces. We hosted our final Telford Network Club of 2024! Held at Hadley Park House Hotel, members really soaked up the festive cheer, enjoying mutually beneficial conversations, and kicked off their day with a delicious Full English Breakfast. Thank you to our guest speaker, Callum Richardson from Verve | B Corp™ Digital Agency 🎄 Ruth Ross attended the World Chambers Federation Women Council session, met with Andy Begley from Shropshire Council, and caught up with Tim Luft, Nigel, and Raj Kaur. Ending the week nicely with our Charity Networking event, connecting like-minded individuals, community leaders, and charities committed to making a difference. Thank you to Jane Tweedie from WR Partners UK for sharing her inspiring career journey and unwavering dedication to serving charitable organisations and educational institutions. 🙌 And a huge thank you to Helen Knight for chairing the event amazingly! Hasn't this week flown by? Let's take a look at what we've been up to! 🌟 Our AGM and Christmas Lunch at Hawkstone Hall & Gardens is taking place as we speak. Members are celebrating the year of 2024 with a delicious three-course Christmas lunch and a look back at the Chamber's highlights and successes throughout the year. A big thank you to everyone who joined us to mark the occasion. 🎅 Gwynneth Slavin had a fantastic time recording a brand new podcast series, 'Small Actions, Big Ripples', by Stavros Kokkinos from Opus Media Productions UK, with guest host Sian Brennan-Todd. She was also busy attending the UK Agri-Tech Centre Connect event at Midlands Innovation Hub. Our festive Coffee & Mince Pie morning at The Water Rat Inn was a hit, with members showing off their Christmas jumpers while enjoying coffee and mince pies - a true taste of Christmas. ☕ Ruth Ross attended several meetings, including the British Chambers of Commerce Digital and Innovation group meeting, the Skills Task and Finish meeting to discuss the Shropshire Skills Initiative, LSIPs, and UKSPF, and proudly delivering her CEO update at the Shropshire Chamber AGM.
