Track renewals are crucial for maintaining a safe and efficient rail network, but busy junctions with dense vegetation and restricted access pose serious challenges for survey teams. How can comprehensive, accurate survey data be collected despite these challenges while minimising costs and disruption? Over the weekend, our skilled teams helped to deliver on key projects in rail and infrastructure across the UK, including: 👇 📍 TRU (Transpennine Route Upgrade) - our teams completed a comprehensive utility/GPR and CCTV survey of a level crossing, involving traffic management and safe possession of the line for necessary improvements to the crossing infrastructure. 📍 Camphill Lines, Birmingham - we worked to undertake a Rail DVS (Design Verification Survey) of the existing rails and platform, assessing condition and alignment, to assist in the design process for the final stages of platform construction. Earlier this year, we introduced our innovative approach to GPR survey for the rail industry. Our unique solution, leveraging our Stream UP technology when mounted onto a Road Rail Vehicle (RRV), allowed us to address the challenges of hidden culverts for our client, Amey Transport for Wales.
