Great news from LSBUD - a very positive step towards safer digging for all!
LSBUD is thrilled to announce the addition of TfL London Underground HV Track Side Cables to our existing inventory of Roadside Cables, which has been under the Transport for London (TfL) – London Underground HV Cables Membership since September 2023. ⚠ Do you know what type of survey you need? ⚠ We often get asked to carry out a GPR survey to determine the location of underground assets. Whilst GPR is a vital element to an underground utility survey, it cannot be relied upon as a standalone tool. As well as its benefits, GPR does have its limitations. GPR cannot: ❌ Look sideways – if there is an obstruction on site we can’t see what is underneath ❌ See through wet ground or standing water ❌ Pick up all utilities ❌ See clearly through rebar ❌ Identify utilities or their size The accuracy of the results from GPR can also rely heavily on the terrain and landscape on site as well as weather conditions. For the most accurate results we will always use multiple detection methods alongside GPR to deliver results with the highest confidence rating.
