On Friday we held our annual virtual Christmas party and celebrated #ChristmasJumperDay in aid of Save the Children UK. From traditional sparkles and sequins to Feliz Navidog and Coventry City Football Club, the team really brought some festive cheer - and we raised £70 for such a special cause. #merrychristmas #housinguk

As See Media continues to expand its specialist PR services for the housing sector, we’re delighted to recognise the incredible contributions of three talented team members with well-deserved promotions: Sarah Thomas MCIM, Chart.PR – Now Senior Director, Sarah has more than 20 years of expertise in strategy, crisis communications, and media training, which makes her an invaluable asset to our clients. Harriett Bolton – Promoted to Junior Account Manager, Harriett has quickly proven her skills since joining the team in 2023. Stacey Cooper – Taking on the title of Copywriter & Publications Manager, Stacey’s creativity and attention to detail continue to elevate client publications and annual reports. Our Managing Director, Stuart Macdonald, said: "It’s fantastic to promote Sarah, Harriett, and Stacey into new roles to kick-start the new year. Their dedication and expertise drive our work supporting communications teams across the sector. Here's to continuing our growth and collaboration in 2025 and beyond!" We’re proud to work with our client, Leeds Federated, on projects that bring communities together and create lasting impact. This mural, designed by Leeds-based illustrator Alice Needham-Pearmain, was created in collaboration with the children from Windmill Youth Club in Rothwell. During a workshop, the children shared their thoughts on what wellbeing, home, and community mean to them, inspiring the design you see here. Behind this colourful artwork, Leeds Federated is building much-needed homes that will provide local people with safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient places to live. The development, due for completion in 2026, will include two, three, and four-bedroom homes, all meeting a minimum EPC B energy rating and equipped with solar panels. This is a fantastic example of how housing developments can enhance local areas while bringing creativity and community to the forefront.

Did you know we now have a See Media forest? No, we’re not branching out (sorry) into forestry PR, although we do get involved in all sorts here at See Media! What we have been doing is working on our aim to become a net zero carbon company by 2025, and we’re very pleased to say that we’ve done it. We’re now a carbon neutral business and while we’re very pleased to have reached this net zero milestone, performing above the UK average for a company of our size, we’re not stopping there. During 2025 we’ll be working on ways to reduce our impact even further, through sustainable travel (we’ve even had Stuart Macdonald testing out the sleeper trains from Scotland for client meetings!), energy-efficiency support for our remote-working team and regular monitoring to keep track of progress. Any emissions we can’t eliminate will continue to be mitigated with more trees planted in our Forest of See Media through Tree-Nation's Eden Reforestation Project in Madagascar. You can read more about our work so far and plans for 2025 in our blog and net zero report here: https://lnkd.in/e5kH7uPA

We love Shelter's latest campaign, which demonstrates the impact homelessness has on families during Christmas time. The video, titled 'World of our Own', paints a devastating picture of what some children across the country are facing every day. It also reminds us that homelessness doesn’t stop at Christmas, a time when children should be able to enjoy a magical time with their families. Watch the video at https://lnkd.in/eHk8QgrN What do you think of the campaign and video? Drop us your thoughts below. #homelessnesscampaign #sheltercampaign #ukhousing

It's #NationalTreeWeek and to celebrate, we'd like to tell you about our Net Zero Carbon plans for See Media and our amazing partnership with Tree-Nation! We've committed to becoming a net zero organisation by 2025, even though we're already performing above the UK average, compared with the emissions of similar SME businesses. We've developed a strategy to help us get there, which we'll be sharing more about soon, but we've already been taking steps to create positive changes for the environment. We've recently planted 100 mangrove trees through Tree-Nation's Eden Reforestation Project in Madagascar, mitigating 5,000 kg of CO2. Check out the Forest of See Media here: https://lnkd.in/eiku74Mu

The recent Regulator of Social Housing Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSM) report highlighted a crucial area for improvement in #socialhousing - communication, particularly around complaints. While most tenants are satisfied with their landlord's overall service, only a third felt their complaints were handled well. Take a look at Jade Ziola-Sammons MCIPR's take on how social landlords can improve their communications, and their TSM results: https://lnkd.in/eEdfUMqr #residentcommunication #sociallandlords #TSM #housingcomms
