In 2024 we committed to a record-breaking £24bn investment in the UK.  As the year comes to an end, we'd like to thank our colleagues, customers and partners for their support in delivering more of the critical energy infrastructure the UK needs.  We're looking ahead to 2025 and continuing to ramp up the pace on climate action to deliver a better future, quicker.

SP Energy Networks has published its next Transmission Business Plan (RIIO-T3), a bold step towards a sustainable and resilient energy future. Through this plan, we will: ✅ Invest £10.6 billion to upgrade and grow the transmission network in Central and Southern Scotland ✅ Build 12 major transmission substations ✅ Upgrade 450km of power circuits ✅ Connect up to 19GW of green power projects—enough for nearly 20 million UK households   This work will make the grid more resilient, save households up to £167 on energy bills by 2030, create over 1400 jobs and support over 11,000 UK jobs.

Our employee-led SPARC network hosted a pawsome event with The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. We got to hear first-hand about the impact that guide dogs have, understand the training that goes into becoming a guide dog, and to meet the dogs and see them in action🐾 It was an inspiring event and one that we won't forget🦮
