We are thrilled to share our next 'Imagine Further' Rowan Alumni story, featuring the brilliant Chloe Abbott. Chloe joined us in the 1970s and has many fond memories of her time at Rowan. From bottles of milk at break time to Sports days and picnics, she and her friends also loved the Spinney at Rowan Hill. Chloe is now an educational consultant and founder of Education Choices Magazine aiming to support families from all backgrounds to make informed choices about the educational opportunities available to them. 🎄✨ Spreading Festive Cheer in Our Community! ✨🎄 This weekend was all about the magic of Christmas as we joined two amazing local events to help spread festive joy! 🎶 Claygate Lights On Saturday, our talented girls sang beautifully to set the festive mood, and a special shoutout to Zia for helping to switch on the lights - what a star! 💡✨ 🎅 Thames Ditton Christmas Fair Sunday brought even more festive fun, as we enjoyed chatting with families, soaking up the fantastic community spirit, singing carols to entertain the crowds and celebrating the season together. It’s been a busy few weeks for our gymnasts! 🤸 First up came huge success at the Independent Schools Gymnastics Association 2 Piece National Championships, where our U10 team were crowned… 👑NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 👑 U11 Team: 4th place with Pippa securing 3rd individually. U10 Team: Lily 2nd, Maya 3rd and Maria 6th individually. U9 Team: Fantastic performances, many competing nationally for the first time. Next up was the British Schools Milano Trios, hosted by Tormead School, Guildford. Our girls had been tirelessly perfecting their routines, ensuring every move was in sync and every balance executed to perfection. The results speak for themselves… 🏆Regional Category: 🥇1st Place 🥈2nd Place 🏆National Category: An outstanding performance secured qualification to the National Finals in March! We're thrilled to announce that our girls will join Tormead School, Guildford as the top two scoring schools to represent the South-East region at the British Schools National Finals. Please join us in congratulating Poppy for successfully auditioning for the renowned National Children's Orchestras of Great Britain! Poppy has been offered a place as a cellist and will be joining other remarkable young musicians in the NCO Projects Programme in Spring next year, receiving world class orchestral training while playing music and having fun. Poppy plays in our String Quartet at school and it's always a pleasure to hear them play.
