Mission-critical systems like data centres rely on diesel generators to provide a consistent and reliable source of power should the mains grid fail. Across Brazil, 150 of our mtu Kinetic PowerPacks ensure reliable power for data centres, pharmaceutical facilities and the food industry. Our new remanufacturing facility in Sao Paulo means customers in the country can now benefit from reduced overhaul times, enhanced regional customer services and in-country technical expertise, as well as reduced CO2 emissions caused by the transportation of equipment. This year, we celebrated #NationalEngineeringDay by inviting a diverse and ambitious group of young people from over 200 schools to explore the world of engineering at Rolls-Royce. In line with this year’s theme #EngineeringRoleModels, we provided a range of hands-on experiences and inspiring conversations with our experts, as well as celebrating more than a century of innovation and ingenuity with tours of our Heritage Centre. Deborah Robinson, Group Director of Test and Experimental Engineering thanked our dedicated colleagues from around the country, saying: “I'm really grateful and proud of all the Rolls-Royce employees from across our UK sites that run stalls or help organise and support these events.
