Maritime Innovation Forum on 5th November at Newcastle University Designed as an opportunity for businesses in or on the periphery of the maritime, marine, naval, offshore wind or ocean science to understand the range of support on offer to help business to create commercially viable innovation. The event is intended as a one stop shop showcasing: - Access to #grants #investment - Support from local and national #research partners - Access to research assets and support programs - Access to skills - Driving Maritime Innovation with #Defence (MoD), Decarbonisation# and AI# In addition the event will showcase the assets, exemplar business case studies and forthcoming strategic investments in the North East in addition to ample time for networking and collaboration. In order for the sector to innovate and solve the considerable challenges of decarbonisation, digitisation and of course finding the right talent we will require ideas from sectors outside maritime so if you don’t consider yourself a maritime business please don’t be put off, much of the content will be applicable to cross sector businesses. Content will be focussed around innovation but will be in language suitable for the non/semi-technical.
