While we are aware that there is always more work to be done when it comes to fostering a truly inclusive and diverse workplace, we are so proud of what we’ve achieved this year at Riot. As one of our commitments for The Blueprint we will be publishing our diversity data each year. Click the link below to read the full report 🔗
Riot Communications is so proud to have earned The Blueprint diversity mark. One of the commitments Blueprinted PR agencies make is to publish their diversity data each financial year – here is our update for November 2024. We know that being a truly inclusive agency requires constant learning and progression and that there is always more we can do. However, we are proud of the company culture we have created together here at Riot, and that our small team actively works to make Riot a place where people feel welcome. I'm looking forward to seeing what more we can achieve in the coming 12 months! https://lnkd.in/epAtMuad

A very proud day indeed! We can't wait to bring you on this Moominous journey with us ✨
It's a proud day today as we (together with Moomin Characters family all over the world!) announce plans for the 80th anniversary of the first Moomin story, The Moomins and the Great Flood. In the UK, that includes a partnership with Counterpoints Arts and Refugee Week that will see four artists create new work around the theme "The Door is Always Open", inspired by the Moominhouse where everyone is welcome. We're so pleased to have brokered this partnership and can't wait to see the artworks when they start popping up across the UK in May and June of next year. Not only that, Moomin Characters, Sort Of Books and Waterstones are collaborating to raise funds for the British Red Cross with a special anniversary edition of The Moomins and the Great Flood, which includes Tove Jansson's notes on the characters and a full-colour cut-out Moominhouse! Read all about it here: https://lnkd.in/eUg-UD7j Such a joy working on this with you Tiina Liukkonen, Kira Schroeder, Roleff Kråkström, James Zambra, Emily Souders, Niamh Houston

To round off an incredibly busy September here at Riot, we want to congratulate two of our brilliant authors for making it to the top 10 of The Sunday Times bestsellers list. It’s been an absolute joy to work on each of these campaigns. With lots of coverage and even more dogs, James Middleton’s Meet Ella campaign was a tremendous success. For his landmark 20th Roy Grace book, as well as giving lots of interviews, Peter James embarked on an epic regional tour all over the UK to connect with fans over One Of Us Is Dead. It was a tremendous team effort and we are so proud of all the work we achieved.

We are so excited to be working with the newly relaunched Erotic Review and we can’t wait for everyone to see all the amazing things the magazine will put out, so keep your eyes peeled for the next issue. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the Guardian's article on the upcoming second issue of the magazine!
Some fun Riot Communications news to end the week: I couldn't be happier to share that we've been hired by the newly relaunched Erotic Review. When I first heard about what Lucy Roeber, Saskia Vogel and Studio Frith were doing with the magazine, I was so keen to get onboard. It's brilliant to have been able to share what the team has already achieved with Issue 2 via the Guardian and The Bookseller this week: https://lnkd.in/ehhUGvYH

With the Edinburgh Fringe set to start this Friday, we are excited to announce that we have been hired to handle publicity for ‘the Oscars of Comedy’, the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, which will spotlight the next generation of comedic talent. The Awards are responsible for launching the careers of the UK’s comedy elite, with previous award winners including Stephen Fry, Sarah Millican, Omid Djalili, Eddie Izzard and so many more. Many winners and nominees have gone on to have a significant impact on mainstream popular culture, writing, directing and acting in some of the most iconic television and film over the last four decades. Our MD, Caitlin Allen, said: “For decades the Edinburgh Comedy Awards have played an essential role in spotlighting the best up-and-coming comedy talent. At a time in which it feels harder than ever for new acts to launch their careers, they are even more vital. We are thrilled to be working with the UK’s most prestigious prize in comedy – and looking forward to spending the whole of August laughing so hard that our cheeks hurt!” Read more on this at PRWeek below 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eRBwQPyJ
