We are deeply grateful to Philip Nelson and The Hiring Dept. for their invaluable pro bono support in helping us recruit four new trustees to our organisation. As a small volunteer-led charity dedicated to supporting families experiencing baby loss, we have always been passionate about our mission but lacked the resources to establish a sustainable governance structure. Philip brought not only his expertise in executive search and charity governance, but also genuine empathy and commitment for our cause. He guided us through the recruitment process, step by step, with professionalism and care, helping us define the skills and qualities needed for our board. Access to Philip’s extensive network coupled with his strategic insight ensured we connected with exceptional candidates who share our vision and values. Thanks to his time and dedication, we now have four talented new trustees joining us who bring a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to our charity, setting us on a path toward long-term sustainability and our goal of providing remembrance photography to all parents experiencing baby loss. We cannot thank Philip enough for his generosity and support. Philip Nelson The Hiring Dept.

About us
Remember My Baby is a UK registered charity offering Remembrance Photography to parents losing their baby before, during or shortly after birth, free of charge. We have a network of Volunteer Photographers across the UK who go into hospitals and hospices at short notice to capture unique portraits of stillborn babies with their families. We are recruiting professional and highly skilled non-professional photographers in all areas to meet growing demand from bereaved parents. We have a growing list of hospitals who are proactively offering our free service to the families in their care.

Cheryl Johnson, co-founder and volunteer photographer, writes on her Facebook profile: "Five days into 2025 and Remember My Baby volunteer photographers have met thirteen families. I myself met three of them today in two different London hospitals. It is a much needed service. Remember My Baby solely relies on donations (no grants or funding) and never ask or expect a family to donate as this is a free gift provided by huge hearted volunteer photographers. Right now the charity is very low on funds: we need your help. If just half of you lovelies on my friends list donated a pound, that would cover the cost of the call centre for a month answering calls requesting a Volunteer Photographer for parents facing the loss of their baby. Almost 1,000 friends (how popular am I?!), say 400/500 or so donate? It would make such a significant impact on day to day operations of our small charity. Click on the link, then Make a Donation and select 'other', £1." Help us to turn a lot of small donations into a very big help! https://lnkd.in/e7TE_dvE

In the sixth episode of our special 10th Anniversary podcasts we speak to Remember My Baby Honorary Officer Sian Ness. Siân trained as a midwife and has worked both within the NHS and private sectors. She is an award-winning Bereavement Midwife, and has more recently become a Bereavement Consultant and Relationship Manager at Cuddlecot. Siân talks to us about how RMB’s remembrance photography service assists the medical staff working with bereaved families, and the impact on the families themselves. She also discusses how the use of a Cuddlecot can enable parents to spend more time with their babies and increases the opportunity for a range of memory making activities. You can listen via either Spotify or Mixcloud from the links on our website https://lnkd.in/ex6nJp3g This podcast is part of our 10th Anniversary appeal to raise funds to ensure that we can continue to create memories for bereaved parents across the UK. And just like that, ten years have passed! Over the decade we have completed 7,125 remembrance photography sessions, which have been attended by 496 AMAZING volunteer photographers. None of this would have been possible without the determination and hard work of our eight co-founders, and we thank them all so much for having the resolve to make it happen. On this landmark day, we are sending a message to every bereaved family - whether you have used the services of Remember My Baby or not. Our thoughts are with you.
