🎄 The festive spirit was in full swing recently, as Vincent Amorelli and his team spent time with Peabody Paradox Community Centre, enjoying the dazzling transformation of the vital community resource into a magical Christmas village. We met Kay, a resident volunteer at the centre earlier in the year, who asked if we’d contribute colouring books and pencils – which, of course, we did! 🎅 Our Christmassy contribution sat alongside handmade decorations, a show-stopping giant nutcracker, a book sale and a Santa’s Grotto. 🙌 The team were thrilled to play a part in this wonderful celebration of community, generosity, and holiday cheer. #HolidaySpirit #improvingcommunities #Charity

Yesterday I had the pleasure of volunteering at the Good Neighbours Christmas Event 🎄 with Charelle W., Natalie, her daughter Kiera, my son Ashdon and niece Reice (family was the word of the day!). Seeing the children's faces light up during their special visit with Santa and his elf was absolutely heartwarming 🎅The event was a true celebration of community spirit, with delicious food, exciting games and raffle stall. ☃️ The Christmas jumper competition brought out some incredible festive creativity and the live band had everyone singing along, creating a truly magical atmosphere ✨️ Last year PURDY CONTRACTS LIMITED donated funds for decorations and selection boxes and this year we were thrilled to attend with even more selection boxes kindly provided by Tim Venables, John Lord and Annette Clarke and wrapped by Bethany Harris 🎁 Throughout the year we've had the privilege of building a wonderful relationship with the team at Good Neighbours 😊 Being part of the amazing events they organise for the community is always a rewarding experience 😊 Here's to celebrating the joy of the season and the power of coming together as a community🫶 #PurdyContracts #GoodNeighbours #TheHydeGroup #MatchMyProject #SocialValue #CommunitySpirit #ChristmasJoy #GivingBack

Darwin Court in South London, is a healthy living centre open to Peabody residents and the local community. Each week, its food hub supports almost 200 families, offering food and social opportunities. It operates as a free community food hub, managed by Eleni, with support from The Felix Project, City Harvest, Tesco and PURDY CONTRACTS LIMITED. As one visitor says, “I live in a local Peabody estate. This is an excellent service that helps me a lot. 🍰 Move over, Mary Berry... it’s time for the Great Purdy Bake Off! After the fruity creation of last year’s champion, Charlie Harris, this year saw participants once again battling it out for the title of ‘Best Baker’. After some fantastic entries, we’re pleased to announce the winners. In 1st place, Gary Phillpot and his amazing key lime pie. In 2nd place, Antonella Amorelli for her heart-shaped cake, and in 3rd place, Charelle W., with her boozy coconut and rum sponge cake – a big hit! 💷 All the cakes were then auctioned off, either as slices or as whole cakes, with all proceedings going to our chosen charity, Teens Unite. 🙌 Thanks to our judges – Annette Clarke, Tim Venables, and Heidi Best – and thanks to all those who entered. #cakesale #fundraiser #GreatPurdyBakeOff #charity

📆 The SVLG Social Value Supply Chain Awards saw Purdy and Kinovo Group's 🌅Pippa P. Pang shortlisted for an award. With John Lord, Fay Poddington, and Tim Venables in attendance on our behalf, it was wonderful to receive Highly Commended (second place) in the 'Best Social Value Champion' award, with Pippa also coming Highly Commended (joint second) with Julian Sanz 🌈 in the 'Best Social Value Leader' category. Today, myself and Gary Phillpot visited the Building Heroes hub in Watford where this great group are studying towards Retrofit qualifications, to prepare for civilian life. They had all served, are serving or have spouses who are serving in the military. Our focus was to provide an insight into our Retrofit contracts, the possibility of offering work experience and the possible career paths at PURDY CONTRACTS LIMITED and Kinovo Group. It was a pleasure to speak to each and every one of you and the engagement was fantastic! We look forward to returning in the new year! P.S.
