The PSCI India Regional Team conducted its first-ever in-person workshop for Indian suppliers on Process Safety, covering key technical topics including ✴️ the basic elements of Process Safety Management ✴️ root cause analysis ✴️ powder analysis relevant to dust explosion risk assessment ✴️ Hazardous Area Classification The session was attended by 39 participants from 26 suppliers and member companies. The speakers for this session on Process Safety were from Cholamandalam MS Risk Services Limited (CMSRS), GREEN CIRCLE, INC., and GVS Cibatech Pvt Ltd: Ninad Kawathekar, Umakant Gaikwad, Pradeep Joshi, Vijay Bhujle, and Ganeshkumar Janardhan. The PSCI India team would like to thank Sachin Gharat and Vishwa Mohan Yadav from Alkem Laboratories Ltd. for their local support. The workshop was organised by PSCI India Team Members, especially MILIND SAMANT, Sudhir Bhagwat, Amol Hardikar, Rohit Virmani, and Senthilkumar Velmurugan. The event was supported by the lead team Amish Kamat, Aditya Shirodkar, and RANJANA GANGULY. This was the first in a series of capability-building workshops the PSCI aims to deliver for suppliers based in pharmaceutical hubs across India. The upcoming workshops will cover different ESG & EHS topics relevant to the industry.
