About us
Primas is the merged law firm of Primas Law and Freeman Fisher; popular with businesses across the UK for our high degree of specialism, refreshingly straight-forward advice and quality in everything we do. At Primas, we employ a very simple corporate ethos: quality as the priority. This means that quality is at the forefront of everything we do. We understand that clients pay good money for legal services and our view is that this entitles them to expect first rate legal and commercial advice combined with top class service delivery. Our focus is not the amount of fees that we can generate but rather the quality of the work and service we provide to our clients.

The Employment Rights Bill has certainly become a hot topic in the past two months. Since its publication, the government has been consulting on various measures in the Bill, including those addressing collective redundancy consultation, the controversial fire and rehire practices and statutory sick pay. Responses to such consultations could lead to significant amendments as the Bill makes its way through Parliament, and we will certainly be keeping track of how things progress in the coming months as well as the extent to which the government listens to the considered feedback received to date. For now, let’s consider what we know already, including a game changing amendment made at the end of last month to double the current time limit for all Tribunal claims... #UKemplaw #EmploymentRightsBill #EmploymentLaw #SickPay #RedundancyConsultation

Have you seen the proposed Assisted Suicide Bill which has sparked a huge legal and ethical debate? ⚖️ If passed, the bill would legalise assisted suicide for terminally ill individuals in the UK, subject to stringent safeguards. 📝 The legislation sets out a process involving medical assessments, independent oversight, and High Court approval - but notably excludes individuals with disabilities who aren’t terminally ill. John Hartley, our Partner and Head of Business Regulation, explores how this proposed law balances individual autonomy with robust protections, and what it could mean for healthcare and legal frameworks in the UK. Read more about the new legislation here 👇 https://lnkd.in/eZ-D9pvE #AssistedSuicide #HealthcareLaw #Regulation #NewBill #NewLaw Clare

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve reached our £1,000 target for our charity partner, Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, Liverpool 🎉 Over the past few months, we've been fundraising in different ways to support the vital work the hospice does for local children and families - £700 of this total was raised through bake sales alone 🧁 Thank you to everyone who baked, donated, and supported us along the way. If you’re able to contribute further, there’s still time to make a difference ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eTAyz_cy #Charity #Fundraising #ZoesPlace Clare

Primas Law is proud to have recently supported the succession plan and change of leadership at Steven A Hunt & Associates Limited. The M&E firm has appointed Neil Baines as managing director, with the eponymous founder, Steven Hunt handing over the day-to-day running of the business and moving up to the role of chief executive. Led by Corporate Partner, Anton Stirrett, the deal was an important step in ensuring a seamless handover during the change of leadership, so that the business can continue to perform as usual. 💬 Anton said: “It was a pleasure to work with both parties to secure agreements that not only pay tribute to the roots of the company, but also support the future growth of the business.”
