  • 🇬🇧PrimaryBid unlocks £125million of retail capital to UK Government Debt. Investors can now access UK Treasury Bills, via PrimaryBid’s Retail Eligible Debt Capital Markets Service, launched earlier this year. With thanks to partners AJ Bell Hargreaves Lansdown and interactive investor. Stacey Parsons, Head of Fixed Income at PrimaryBid, commented: “It is crucial that UK investors can access investment returns on equal terms to institutional investors. Our success in unlocking £125 million of new retail capital demonstrates how technology, education, and collaboration can modernise traditional and legacy capital market practices. Approximately 20% of our investor participation has been from women, so we have more to do in this space to provide greater opportunity to a wider demographic in the UK." This service is only available to investors within the UK. Investing in securities involves risk. Read our press release here https://lnkd.in/evzmNFJC

  • Honoured to welcome Callum Anderson MP to PrimaryBid alongside TheCityUK. A great discussion about financing technology and innovation in the UK, and about the role technology can play in distributing the benefits of finance widely. Finally, some valuable perspectives on what politicians and industry can do together with Department for Science, Innovation and Technology as a driving force in Westminster & Whitehall! Country Manager Nordnet Norway

🔔 Nyhet! 🙌 Les mer om samarbeidet: https://lnkd.in/dKpUTUnW A big thank you for the collaboration so far François De Wiljes and Eirik Høiby Ausland and to the great team at Nordnet Marcus Gangnor Edward Neptune Eivind Johannesen among others for making this possible! Looking forward to the first deal! #nordnet #oslobørs #emisjoner #investering #aksjer

Excellent event held at PrimaryBid HQ last week that explored the modernisation of UK Capital Markets and how to enhance investor access to bonds. Group Product Manager @ PrimaryBid Using technology to make the capital markets accessible to the public.

📣 Last Thursday, the PrimaryBid team was thrilled to host Alan Burr, Tracy Vegro OBE, George Littlejohn, Neil Brown, and members of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) Fixed Income and Bond Forum for a collaborative event with the LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group). It was fantastic to join a panel moderated by the exceptional Stacey Parsons, Head of Fixed Income at PrimaryBid, which featured industry experts, including Nick Dilworth, Head of Compliance and Risk at PrimaryBid and Elena Chimonides, Senior Fixed Income Product Manager at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group). Together, we explored the modernisation of UK capital markets, particularly in enhancing investor access to bonds through lower denominations. We extend our thanks to Victoria McTaggart from the Financial Conduct Authority for her written statement to The CISI members, outlining the FCA's intent to consult on this topic in Q1 2025. The discussion also spotlighted PrimaryBid’s proprietary technology, which is advancing retail investor access to the equity capital market. Flagship products like PrimaryBid Connect and Alloc8 support our partners by providing essential information and tools to facilitate educated and informed investment decisions. If you’re curious about PrimaryBid’s latest initiatives, feel free to reach out to me or anyone on the PrimaryBid team!

  • 🇪🇺 EU announcement 🇪🇺 🤝 Great to announce our partnership with BUX and the extension of PrimaryBid’s retail capital raising technology into the Netherlands and Belgium. Countless reports have highlighted the lack of connectivity between the EU’s retail savings pools and its capital markets. We believe getting retail investors better involved when EU companies raise capital is an important step for building #CMU from the ground up! Thanks to ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Euronext for their support.

🚀 Starting today, BUX investors in the Netherlands and Belgium can now participate in IPOs — a significant step forward for retail investors across Europe. We’re proud to be the first pan-European partner to adopt PrimaryBid’s innovative platform, giving our investors access to IPOs and regulated fundraises, including opportunities that were previously available only to institutional investors. This is just the beginning of greater access and inclusion for retail investors #BUX #IPO #PrimaryBid

If your company is looking to go public, we just made it easier to offer shares to potential investors. SoFi has teamed up with PrimaryBid to launch DSP2.0, a tech-forward Directed Share Program solution that helps companies with U.S. IPOs and capital raises while the tech does the heavy lifting. “For decades, companies have wanted to offer the opportunity to participate in their IPOs to the employees, partners, customers, and others who helped them grow,” said Anthony Noto, CEO of SoFi. “Unfortunately, traditional DSPs often have high account minimum requirements, carry significant costs to companies, and lack benefits to underwriters, limiting their appeal. SoFi now offers companies going public a turnkey, 100% digital way to offer IPO shares to employees and other people who helped build their business, and whomever else they want to direct the shares to, whether it’s to 10 or 10,000 people. People can open a SoFi account from a smartphone in seconds, transfer money seamlessly, and stay informed throughout the IPO process – with no account fees, trading costs, or minimum deposit requirements.” “It's vital to see innovation in the ways companies engage stakeholders when going public, and the market will welcome new technologies that modernize the IPO process as policymakers look to broaden investor participation,” said John Tuttle, former Vice Chairman for NYSE Group and expert on U.S. capital markets policy. If you’re thinking about taking a company public and want to team up, reach out to dsp@sofi.org for more information.

  • 🇺🇲 We are excited to announce our partnership with SoFi to launch DSP2.0, an advanced Directed Share Platform for U.S. IPOs and capital raises, building on PrimaryBid’s landmark community inclusion technology. 🇺🇲 Almost 30 years ago the Boston Beer Company famously unlocked its IPO for customers by putting adverts on its six-packs. The response was huge: 70,000 people sent cheques through the mail, but most couldn’t be included in the final deal. Fast forward to today and not much has changed. We think great technology is the answer, and so SoFi and PrimaryBid have partnered to fix the DSP, upgrading the entire experience for IPOing companies and their investors. Want to learn more? Press release in the comments 👇 Thanks to our new partners at SoFi and many other US advisors along the way.
