In January, #Milan will welcome Wo.Ka Club, a co-working space that redefines the concept of the #workplace, transforming it into a hub of connection and support for those who face the daily challenge of balancing personal and professional life. Green spaces are an essential solution for reducing CO₂ emissions. At Planet Smart City, we integrate high CO₂ absorbing plants into our urban developments, harnessing their ability to act as natural carbon sinks, improve #airquality and enhance #environmentalsustainability. Earlier last month, over 30 #ULIItaly Young Leaders from companies such as Hines, BNP Paribas, and Lendlease visited #SeiMilano, a smart district developed by Borio Mangiarotti S.p.A. Nicholas Gerritsen, Project Innovation Designer at Planet Smart City and a #ULIYoungLeader led the tour, providing an overview of Planet’s #smartspaces and solutions. “The visit highlighted how we have seamlessly integrated high standards of #sustainablebuilding practices with #communitydevelopment initiatives aimed at #empowering residents,” explained Gerritsen. SeiMilano features #ClassA buildings with low CO2 emissions, advanced #digitalconnectivity, and #smarthome systems that simplify daily living while promoting sustainability. Residents also benefit from the #PlanetApp, offering event booking, space reservation, and utility monitoring services. The visit showcased how Planet combines #smarttechnology and sustainability to create future-ready neighbourhoods with lasting value.

Planet Smart City’s horizontal projects in Brazil are driving growth in the housing market of the #Ceará region. #SmartCityLaguna, located near #Fortaleza, spans 330 hectares and will provide over 6,000 housing plots for a #futurecommunity of 20,000 residents. With 600 homes delivered, the project is now 80% complete, integrating 58 #smartsolutions like co-working spaces and air quality monitoring through the #PlanetApp. 🏡 Our #Aquiraz and #PraiaBela development, just 30 minutes from Fortaleza, covers 240 hectares and will deliver 2,800 homes and 4,000 plots, housing more than 24,000 people. Over 700 homes are completed, benefiting around 2,000 residents with 51 smart solutions. 🌴 #SmartCityNatal spans 170 hectares and will deliver 400 homes and 2,000 plots for 8,000 residents. The Primo Forum Nazionale sull'Industria dei Servizi Immobiliari, held in Milan on November 13, 2024, and facilitated by Scenari Immobiliari, showcased the growing convergence of #propertymanagement, #digitalinnovation, and #sustainability. The event highlighted 2023's milestones, with Italy's property management sector generating over €135 million in revenues and project management nearly €50 million. Discussions focused on the transformative role of #proptech in real estate, with global investments in #digitalsolutions nearing €1.4 billion over the past five years. On November 16th at #COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Daniele Russolillo, COO of Planet Smart City, will present the innovative #D2FX project—Digital District for Flexible Energy Services. Implemented in Brazil’s #SmartCityLaguna and #SmartCityAquiraz, this project focuses on #digitalising #energyservices for residential units and an #InnovationHub. Key features include #photovoltaicpanels, #energystorage systems, and #remotised #AirConditioning as a dispatchable load, all managed by an advanced #softwarelayer for enhanced #energyoptimisation. Supported by EoT - Energy of Things (#EnergyOfThings) for #digitalenergysolutions and Djungle Studio for #gamification and #residentengagement, this initiative integrates #cuttingedgetechnologies with a "human in the loop" approach—ensuring no one is left behind. At #PlanetSmartCity, we're thrilled to have recently welcomed two talented students from the University of Nairobi to our headquarters in Turin, reinforcing our commitment to advancing #AffordableHousing solutions globally. During their visit to our #CompetenceCenter, the students gained hands-on insights into our #UrbanDevelopment projects and methodologies. They also connected with experts at Politecnico di Torino before heading to the #RedoMerezzate district in Milan to witness our #sustainable model. This visit marks a significant step in our partnership with the University of Nairobi, aligning our expertise with #Kenya's urgent need for affordable housing solutions. With a significant #housingdeficit (around 2.5 million units), Kenya is creating innovative national policies to address this critical issue—and we're excited to support this mission through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
