Pentestify was invited to #Dappcon2023 to give a conference on the marriage of blockchain security and #AI. In this conference, Lucas Martin Calderon breaks down the latest innovations of blockchain and AI using first order principles. He aims to ensure that web3 engineers don't optimise problems that shouldn't even exist and instead develop blockchain and AI in a sustainable, lucrative and resilient way: "Getting the basic right will help make a product that truly makes a difference and that will have the biggest impact". He then ties this to the latest developments in both open and closed source AI models, their advantages and disadvantages and why Pentestify chose to build its own #DRL models to build NEO: Continuous Automated Post-Deployment Smart Contract Detection-Remediation #SaaS. A particular focused was placed on how the multidimensionality of DRL AI and its ability to interact directly with #EVM bytecode can help identify new patterns of attacks, even some that smart contract security auditors have not yet discovered or classified. The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology-backed CyberASAP programme is an early-stage accelerator, which is designed to transform deep academic insights into commercial opportunities, delivered by Innovate UK Business Connect. Supporting execution, Plexal's specific role within this initiative is to further embed a selected group of promising researchers into enterprise as part of the Industry Challenge stream of CyberASAP to accelerate their business potential. Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome the CyberASAP cohort including Pentestifyy, LockEyeGaze, ai360, Sirocco, FuSeBMC-AI, CyberThemis and GridGuardian in our Cheltenham-based Hub8 MX Innovation Centre for the much-awaited in-person Startup Circuit event. Through this, we connected cyber innovators with cyber industry leaders and CISOs, enabling them to mutually benefit from clinics, discussions and more around how prospective solutions can solve industry challenges. I have a little secret and news to share, specially to those taking their startups to the next level, boldly progressing in their careers or simply looking for ways to become more entrepreneurial. It has already been several years that I have been completely immersed in the world of entrepreneurship, in the intersection of blockchain, AI, and cybersecurity at Pentestify. And for the better or for the worse, it has taught me extremely valuable lessons - one of which about how to build a professional network and, most importantly, how to keep it. In a world where some institutions offer and convince young startups and professionals that the best way to build a network is to give up a considerable amount of equity and cash (I call it the modern and somehow-legal mafia), the truth could not be further away from this. There is no better, more sustainable way to build a network than to do it yourself, through merit and offering value and yet not expecting anything in return. In other words, one of the best ideas and strategies is to join a talent network in your city where you can exchange value, skills and grow together with its members, carefully selected to optimise exchange of value. Personally speaking, Nova has been one of the most honourable, powerful talent networks I have joined, and now I am very I'm excited to announce that I am now a Founding Member of Nova in the UK.
