📣 Honouring a Champion of Justice! Today, we proudly awarded Alex Davies Jones MP the Medal of Empowerment & Justice in recognition of her tireless work advocating for justice and the protection of women and girls across the UK. Her inspiring speech captivated us all, emphasizing the importance of resilience and determination in making a meaningful difference. 🌍✨ Alex, a prominent Welsh Labour Party politician, has served as the Member of Parliament for Pontypridd since 2019. Raised with strong values, she brings her passion for justice to every aspect of her work. With a joint honours degree in law and politics from Cardiff University, her career has been marked by significant contributions, including research roles in the House of Commons and the National Assembly for Wales. Since her appointment in 2024 as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice, Alex has led critical initiatives focused on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), Criminal Law, Victims and Witnesses, and Rape and Serious Sexual Offences. Her leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion within the Ministry, alongside her commitment to the Take Back Our Streets mission, showcases her unwavering dedication to creating safer communities. We are incredibly thankful for Alex’s presence and impactful work. Her advocacy against online misogyny and her efforts to safeguard victims make her a vital voice in both Welsh and national politics. About us
For over 19 years the founder Rebeca Riofrio has been involved in various industries including Higher Education, Art & Fashion and believe that the time is right and crucial to show support and educate young people in UK politics and the most effective way is by make them active participants of it and the society provides a suitable platform to achieve this goal. It is intended that the society will engender the principle of mutual trust and confidence among thousands of young people from the above industries in the UK. Furthermore, it is also imperative to address the variety of issues and problems facing the current youth population within these industries and to discuss current issues affecting them such as human trafficking, modern slavery, homophobia, drugs, financial struggles and the lack of knowledge of UK Politics and Law. The society is confident that it would create a link between modern UK young people and the government through periodical meetings, talks, seminars, activities and other social gatherings.
