Bringing pain specialist nurses together on one platform to share best practice and provide peer support
About us
The Pain Nurse Network developed from the amalgamation of the RCN London Pain Interest Group and the Pain Network Forum. Since then membership has grown to include nurses around the globe. We aim to bring pain nurses together in one platform (the Knowledge Hub) to share best practice and provide peer support. We are proud of our achievements in creating and developing a supportive network and environment that celebrates the achievements of individuals and its membership. Please go to KHub.net and apply to join out network. Follow us on Twitter @RNPainNet

New publication from our member Felicia Cox FRCN. The Association of Anaesthetists, in collaboration with the The British Pain Society, has released new guidelines that make recommendations for the entire peri-operative period, and post-discharge phases of care. This guidance provides generic principles for peri-operative pain management that clinicians should consider including assessing pain to facilitate function; use of multimodal analgesia, including regional anaesthesia; non-pharmacological strategies; safe use of opioids; and use of protocols and training for staff in caring for patients with postoperative pain.

New publication in pre-print from Network member Karin Cannons. It's wonderful to have the expertise of nurses recognised in publications. Karin regularly contributes to the highly evaluated Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust regional analgesia course organised by Dr Madan Narayanan. #regional #RA #local #infusions #analgesia https://lnkd.in/e5UYKGCr
