This is how you do a cinema room 📽 Built into the loft space, this cinema room by fabulous interior designers EADIE & CROLE DESIGN LIMITED is timeless, classic, elegant and beautiful. It has been a real privilege to refurbish a full set of vintage cinema seats for this space and I think they really do make the space and bring real character and genuine style. In a clean, contemporary interior, refinished vintage furniture can really add instant soul. We often create sets of just two or three seats as statement seating in any room of the house, but it's a real joy to see a full cinema set up. This is it! Tatie Lou at Decorex International. The stand is a riot of sumptuous maximalism and I couldn't be prouder to have been asked to contribute a small part to this beautiful stand. My cinema seats are finished in one of Tatie Lou's new designs - Swallows and Blooms - and it is absolutely gorgeous both to look at and to stroke! Orange Otter Design x Tatie Lou Designs It's showtime! 🌺 Decorex International is the UK's annual celebration of interior design at Kensington Olympia and this time next week it will be in full swing. One of my favourite and most popular fabric designers, Tatie Lou, is exhibiting with a sumptuously beautiful stand. Below are a few of the stunning velvets she has created and this year she is lanching another gorgeous collection with a set of my cinema seats on display to show off one of her designs. This is a great opportunity to be inspired by everything interiors, but also to see, touch and try our cinema seats in a beautiful show room environment. I've been working on this beauty lately, experimenting with incorporating velvet on painted furniture. With all the gorgeous velvets I use for the cinema seats there are always offcuts that are simply too beautiful to discard. I think this one is a success, I'm so thrilled with how it's turned out ✨️ This console table has the most beautiful long legs so I definitely wanted to accentuate them with a pop of colour. The Blackpop Neo13 velvet looks so lovely with these colours. It's somehow bold but elegant at the same time. I've placed it in panels on all sides as well as inside the drawers. Perfect for adding some character to an entryway and with matching cinema seat for popping your shoes on. What a gorgeous "welcome home" this would be for someone. Or as a statement side table in a cosy living room. ✨️Now available on the website✨️ This gorgeous vintage cinema seat had a day out last week at the Sustainable Design Forum in the Crypt on the Green in Clerkenwell, supporting Chris Billinghurst of The House of Upcycling as an example of how completely amazing professional upcycling can be. I absolutely love this velvet by Blackpop and better still, it's printed on their sustainable velvet, which is made from 100% recycled plastic water bottles diverted from landfill. A fantastic example of sustainability and style working together. The chair is now back with me and ready to find it's forever home.
