❄ Merry Christmas from everyone at Omega Plastics and Signal Plastics! ❄ We are now closed for the festive period from 4pm today, returning on Monday 6th January 2025. All emails, voicemails and orders received during this period will be picked up and dealt with when we return. In our final working week of 2025, we have been getting in the festive spirit, with all colleagues invited to wear their best (or worst) Christmas jumpers, having Christmas buffet treats at each site, and enjoying our (now traditional) Christmas sing song in the Gateshead Atrium with David Greasley and Janis Smith (nee Oliver)🎄 All colleagues received a shopping voucher to say thank you for all the hard work and support through the year and we held our annual raffle with an assortment of prizes up for grabs!🎅✨ Once again, our colleagues were generous in their support for Cash for Kids North East Mission Christmas, with a great selection of toys, games and gifts for children at risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas Day. Thank you to everyone for supporting this cause and giving back to our local community. 🚨 Exciting News: Omega Plastics Group successfully completes Management Buyout (MBO) 🚨 We’re thrilled to announce that Omega Plastics Group has successfully completed a Management Buyout (MBO), led by our very own Dave Crone, who is now the Group's majority shareholder and Group Managing Director. Dave, alongside new fellow shareholders Gary Owen (Group Finance Director) and Ian Mallett (Group Operations Director), will now steer Omega's future growth and success, following the buyout of investor and former majority shareholder Chris Thompson, and former CEO and current Executive Chair, Craig Swinhoe. This is the first time Omega has been fully owned by those who work within it, and that makes this transition even more significant. This move sets the stage for a bright future for OPG! Omega Plastics group attends Sunderland Armed forces remembrance breakfast service 6/11/24 – Stadium of Light 🎖   We were honoured to attend Sunderland Armed Forces Remembrance Breakfast Service on November 6, 2024, at SAFC Stadium of Light, supported by Sunderland FC Chief Business Officer David Bruce, and veteran Royal Marine (Padre) Geoff Driver, hosted by SAFCs Shaun Lavender. Our team of, Russell Stamp-Royal Navy Veteran and Dave Crone – Managing Director of Omega Plastics had the privilege of witnessing first hand this special event. The importance of SAFC engaging the Armed Forces and wider community as part of the club shone through.  This moving event brought together veterans, serving personnel, and local communities to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our Armed Forces. It is with great sadness that we learned that Thomas E Kaczperski passed away peacefully on 26 August 2024, at the age of 83. Tom founded Omega Plastics Inc in Michigan in 1984 and set up Omega Plastics UK as a joint venture with Express Group in 1998. Craig Swinhoe is moving from Chief Executive Officer to part-time Executive Chair. Dave Crone is transitioning from Senior Technical Director to Managing Director of Omega Plastics. Ian Mallett is stepping up from Group Operations Director to Managing Director of Signal Plastics. Gary Owen continues his role as Group Finance Director. We also bid farewell to Julian Jamieson, our Group Commercial Director, who will be joining Express Engineering after 15 years of invaluable contributions. Julian, a co-founder of Signal Plastics, has been instrumental in our growth and success. We wish him all the best in his new role.
