As we approach the end of the year, it’s a perfect time to reflect on our incredible people who make our journey possible. 🌟 A healthy and happy team is the cornerstone of our success, and initiatives involving collaboration, well-being, and community engagement play an important role in achieving this. This year, we have: 🌱 Worked closely with our suppliers, Suttons Group and Podfather to enhance our operations and minimise our environmental impact. 🛠️ Developed our apprentices with the help of HETA, a leading engineering training provider. 💬 Created a 12-month action plan focused on mental health and well-being, utilising surveys conducted through selected partners, and held our first mental health and well-being session hosted by local motivational speaker, Michael Burton. 📚 Supported Primary Engineer, a national educational charity to promote STEM and engineering careers to children. ⚽ Supported local sports teams and organisations to make a positive impact in our community. 🎁 Raised funds and donated gifts to charity. These are just some of the highlights of our many initiatives. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and excited for what’s to come. Carl received this prestigious award on October 16, 2024, at Windsor Castle, presented by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales on behalf of His Majesty the King. This accolade recognises Carl Woollins’ significant contributions to the chemical industry. Under his leadership, Nippon Gases played a crucial role in assisting the UK Government during a critical period, ensuring the secure import of essential chemicals. These chemicals are vital across numerous industries, and without them, industrial production would have faced severe disruptions, potentially halting altogether. Reflecting on this achievement, Carl Woollins OBE remarked, “Receiving the OBE is not just a personal achievement; it is recognition of the collective efforts of many individuals within Nippon Gases and the UK Government who worked together to solve a very complex supply problem.
