  • Mentoring can truly make a big difference during life transitions. It's great to see resources like this helping Soldiers and their families find guidance and support.

  • Absolutely agree, Ginnie McDevitt. Knowing what you want to achieve is the first step to unlocking the full potential of mentorship.

  • Mentorship has such a profound impact, and it's inspiring to see T-Mobile using technology to connect their team members across the country. Virtual mentorship is a powerful tool for fostering relationships and boosting retention.

Mentorship programs are a great way to help people establish relationships and build professional skills. And one global wireless giant found these programs can also be massive retention boosters. When T-Mobile merged with Sprint in April of 2022, HR leaders wanted employees on both sides to learn from each other. T-Mobile decided to use Chronus software, which it originally purchased to manage mentoring for ERGs, and began using it to help all employees find potential mentors. “When we joined together, we had over 70,000 dispersed across the United States in different places, so I saw this technology as a great opportunity to help bring people together virtually and to build those connections,” Cathy Nelson, senior manager of talent management at T-Mobile, tells Fortune. • Absolutely Brian Elliott. Mentorship programs are a game-changer, whether in person or online. The stats speak for themselves—it's all about creating meaningful connections and trust. It's fantastic to see how mentorship is helping both frontline and office employees thrive.

Mentorship programs drive ~2X higher retention, and don't need to be done in-person. T-Mobile leveraged software to build a #mentorship program that brought together 2,000 employees distributed across the US after their acquisition of Sprint. Not just office workers, retail workers participated as well. The benefits: ☀️ 78% retention rate among participants, vs 41% for those that didn't. ☀️ 26% more likely to get promoted or a higher level job. What matters most in the great mentoring relationships that I've had are factors like trust (confidentiality, reliability), clear expectations, mutual commitment and two-way engagement -- not whether we were talking in the same office. Connection is lovely, but if you want people to thrive, especially in the pressures of today's workplace environment, mentorship programs matter more. Investing in them also clearly pays off in #frontline as well as office employees! Great work by Brit Morse at Fortune and huge thanks Catherine Moore Nelson at T-Mobile for sharing what you're learning. #retention #connection #mentor #distributed #hybrid #hybridwork #remote

A great mentoring program encourages growth, shares institutional knowledge, and helps employees feel more connected to your company’s mission. Are your mentors equipped with the skills to guide and inspire? Have you defined your program's goals and ensured mentees get hands-on experience? With clear objectives and thoughtful planning, mentoring can become a cornerstone of your talent strategy. #Leadership #Mentoring #SkillDevelopment https://lnkd.in/eFWEzwpS

This iconic scene reminds us that true leadership often requires a rebellious spirit and the courage to break free from conventional boundaries. 🚀 In the corporate world, the most successful executives are those who aren't afraid to challenge the status quo. They understand that real growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones and embrace new, sometimes uncomfortable, paths. 🔍 Executive mentoring plays a pivotal role in this transformative journey.
