MS Society
Non-profit Organizations
We’re here to provide support for people living with multiple sclerosis and drive research into better treatments.
About us
We’re the MS Society – a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, volunteers and fundraisers. 130,000 people live with multiple sclerosis in the UK. Every one of them shares the uncertainty of life with MS. We understand what life’s like with MS, and we support each other through the highs, lows and everything in between. And we’re driving research into more – and better – treatments. For everyone. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

“We’re usually quite good at checking the dashboard in our car when something’s wrong, looking out for any warning lights. But we often don’t listen to our bodies in the same way when they signal that something’s not right.” ❌ Treating MS doesn’t only have to include conventional medicine. Holistic care, including complementary and alternative therapies, can make a difference to MS symptoms. We invited Dr Agne Straukiene for an in-depth discussion of holistic care and how it can help to nurture both body and mind. Learn more here ➡️ https://mssoc.uk/3ZLjSuv

She’s developing a toolkit for healthcare providers which will help them to recognise signs of abuse and how to respond. She shares her perspective on how clinicians offer a space where people can benefit from support in a safe environment. Find out more about her research ➡️ https://mssoc.uk/3BoIukW
