A couple of weeks ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to step outside the gaming industry and lend my skills to the Cyclorama and Future Laboratory project* as a project coach and mentor to the talented Mateja Rot. With a educational background and a passion in the Creative Arts, I felt right at home in this new, yet familiar environment. *The project was a 30-month journey that champions budding artists from all walks of life. It provided them with three unique research residencies across three different cities, all while providing essential mentorship, resources, and guidance to help them create socially inclusive artistic concepts. The whole experience ended with a grand presentation in Luxembourg. My week was filled with supporting the setting up, testing, and presenting for the final showcase for Teja's prototype, 'Greenscapes', a location-based mobile experience, which shares her research and own experiences from her residency stays. The project showcase took place in the stunning surroundings of the Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, where I was able to take in the incredibly moving and powerful research, performances, and installations from all the inspiring artists involved.
