1 week to go until Britain’s most brutal race!! This non-stop footrace is not for the faint-hearted and is the ultimate test of endurance for athletes in the new year. Based along the Pennine Way in the North of England, racers choose from 4 routes of varying lengths, the longest of which pans the entire 268-mile route from the Peak District all the way up to the Scottish Border. The overall course record is held by Jack Scott who smashed the course in 2024 in 72 hours and 55 minutes!! Dot watchers get ready, you don’t want to miss this! 👀 #FurtherFaster

2024 - A year of adventure and achievement ⛰️ Looking back at this past year, it's been a whirlwind here at Montane. We've been inspired by the incredible feats of our community and athletes, who continue to push the boundaries of human endurance. One of our Strava Challenges, "Find Your Own Everest" was another highlight of the year. Hundreds of you took on the ambitious goal of climbing 8,848ft or 8,848 meters in just two weeks. Your determination and resilience, even in the face of adverse weather, were truly inspiring. Our athletes have also had a remarkable year. Jesse Dufton made history with his ascent of Wyoming's Devil Tower on the challenging El Matador route. Galen Reynolds tackled the demanding Montane Yang Xian 100 Trail Challenge in China and the gruelling Tour Des Geants. Closer to home, Renee McGregor, Howard Dracup, Katy Parrot, Bee Leask, and Dariia Bodnar dominated the Lakeland 100 & 50. And Jon Shield pushed his limits in both Winter & Summer Spine Races. At Montane, we're committed to protecting our environment. This year, we partnered with the Single Use Plastics Project to remove polybags from our warehouse, reducing plastic waste. We've also continued our support for Fix the Fells and actively participated in the local community clean-ups. As we look forward to 2025, we're excited to continue inspiring and enabling people to explore the outdoors. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
