🙌 National Numeracy's #NumberConfidenceWeek campaign starts today and we are a proud supporter! 👫With a focus on the gender confidence gap that limits career options and social mobility, this campaign will highlight the barriers people face, but in particular women. 🔢Statistics show that 40% of women do not consider themselves “numbers people,” in contrast to 23% of men. * These attitudes hurt everyone who face pressures that prevent them from seeking support. This campaign seeks to change that by empowering people to build their confidence, and unlock new opportunities. *Data from YouGov research in September 2022, for National Numeracy.

Congratulations to Seb Hopkins for becoming the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB Champion! This weekend at Brands Hatch marked the thrilling finale of the season. Seb showed incredible composure, finishing 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd in his final three races. In every race, he finished ahead of his Championship rival, securing the title by just 1 point! His ability to stay cool under pressure was remarkable. It’s been an amazing journey to be part of Seb’s racing career so far, which started with us when he was just 13 years old. Now, 4 years later, he has claimed his first professional Championship, in front of tens of thousands of spectators at every event across the UK, with even more tuning in on ITV. Huge congratulations, Seb! 🏆

A huge congratulations to Seb Hopkins on an incredible podium win! For those following the journey of our local teenage racing star, Seb took 1st place at Silverstone last weekend! With just one race of the season left to go at Brands Hatch in October, Seb is currently holding an impressive 2nd position in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Championship. Best of luck for the final race Seb – we’re all cheering you on!

Last November we worked with our long-term partner, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF) (HIWCF) to distribute a further £60,000 in grants. These grants supported 7 local voluntary organisations dedicated to serving children and young people in the community. One of the organisations, The Parenting Network based in Portsmouth, has demonstrated the transformative impact of this funding. Their Young Mums Club offers a safe and supportive space for mothers under 25 to bring their children to a free playgroup. This initiative provides essential resources and connections to health services, referral services, and other support networks. 👩👧 The Vanquis Banking Group Foundation’s funding has helped The Parenting Network to expand its services by opening a second Young Mums Club in Portsmouth. This expansion ensures that more young mothers across the city have access to the vital support provided by the club. Recently we were lucky enough to spend some time with the team there, and learnt first hand how important these services are to the local community. 🤗 The Vanquis Banking Group Foundation is dedicated to building a future where every child and young person in the UK can achieve their full potential.
