We have started a new academic year at the AA- Architectural Association School of Architecture. It has always been an ambition to combine professional practice and academia and doing so in this forward thinking environment is a dream come true. Orchard House - Rental accommodation for young professionals Type: Residential Status: Tender Year: 2024 We’re excited about starting construction of our first medium scale project with Old Manor Estates. The design wants to establish an aesthetic dialogue with the local cliffs and presents itself as a carved mass following the language of a series of pieces by Eduardo Chillida executed in the 60s and 70s exploring operations of subtraction. It was a pleasure to work with Sanford Developments to bring this scheme to life and do so with a great team including Anthony Frendo from Maddox Planning Joseph Harriott-Eyles from HA-EY Architecture + Structure , Kostas Mastronikolaou from Ecolytik Phil Gower from ARBTECH

Our approach to this project has been to maximise the potential of the site by proposing a high quality contemporary design that brings together environmental passive strategies and the grand spaces and proportions of Georgian townhouses. #architecture #contemporary #environmental #nzeb #naturalmaterials #timber #stone #vegetation
