Did you know we support adoptive parents and carers too? The truth is we're inclusive of anyone with caring responsibilities for under 18s. And while we typically match people based on the job they do, if there's another aspect of life that is relevant to their return to work challenges we always take this into consideration. Some people specifically request a single parent, a parent of the same race or sexuality, or someone who has experience of baby loss, birth trauma or something else, and if that matters most to them and we can help, we will. We can't promise the perfect fit every time, but we can promise that our team think carefully about how to match people with a mentor that will be helpful for them (that's why we match after having personal calls with people rather than through an algorithm). We don't treat all our mentees in the same way because that would be equal, but not equitable. Instead we consider everyone as individuals and do the best we can for them. Perhaps we don't always spell that out enough. #returntowork #returners #workingparents #workingcarers #edi #equity

From today, the average woman starts effectively working for FREE until the end of the year because of the hourly gender pay gap. But for Black and other minority ethnic women, and women with disabilities, Equal Pay Day was even earlier. How does that make you feel? 😤 We’re supporting Fawcett Society’s #EqualPayDay to raise awareness of the gender pay gap and the inequalities it amplifies for so many groups of women. We’re calling on employers to publish their gender pay gap data and take real steps to close it. Enough is enough. #EqualPay #WomenAtWork #Equality
