What a fantastic year we have had. 2024 marked the 30th year in the history of MEM Recruitment, and it has been a major one... 🎉 Celebrating 30 Acts of Kindness for MEM’s 30th Birthday 🎉 We not only welcomed a new owner in Daniel Mclaven, wishing both former owners Gary Matthews and Ian McLaven a happy retirement, but we also set about to complete 30 Acts of Kindness across the year. We are very proud of our accomplishments. To finish up 2024 with a hug and a smile on our faces, we can say that we spent and donated over £5,000 to support local causes, charities, and staff well-being acts, brought year-round awareness to some amazing people and events, and contributed to well over £200,000 being raised by partner events and fundraisers. Truly amazing. Here at MEM Recruitment, we are doing 30 Acts of Kindness to celebrate our 30th year in business, and as we are all dog lovers here, for our 29th Act of Kindness we wanted to donate to a charity where dogs are at the centre of attention for Christmas. The Single Homeless Project works within the London area to help those living with homelessness. "It's not often hostels are dog-friendly... but ours are!!! Dogs provide our clients with physical, psychological, and social support. We think they deserve to be spoilt this Christmas too." We agree... and therefore we have donated and purchased some doggie treats. For our 28th Act of Kindness, we teamed up with Filip, Neil, and the rest of the Flamingo Horticulture (Flamingo Flowers) team at Sandy to donate flowers to brighten up the Primrose Unit at the Oncology Centre at Bedford Hospital. These flowers will be seen by those currently undergoing cancer treatment, as well as the staff, and we really do hope they bring some joy during the festive period. The staff at Primrose have sent a message to the teams at MEM and Flamingo Flowers: "Please pass on our heartfelt thanks for the beautiful flowers your company kindly donated to the Primrose unit oncology centre. Our hard-working receptionists and secretaries were absolutely thrilled to receive them. We have also put a bunch in the coffee room for all to enjoy. Have a lovely Christmas, and we wish you all a Happy New Year." For our 27th Act of Kindness, MEM has donated to the wonderful Northampton Hope Centre, which is also celebrating a huge milestone this year: 50 years in the community. The Northampton Hope Centre provide essential community support for those living with homelessness and periods of hardship. Donating to their charity helps them to provide shelter, food, and crucial support within the community through partnerships and programmes aimed at uplifting individuals. For our 26th Act of Kindness, we donated to the From Me to You Letters charity. This wonderful charity is close to our hearts and helps bring some joy to those living with cancer through the medium of writing. Through letter-writing workshops, their Donate A Letter programme, and hints & tips on reaching out to your family and friends, they aim to reduce the social isolation and loneliness often associated with cancer. A huge thank you to MEM Recruitment who are celebrating 30 years in business and are carrying out 30 acts of kindness to mark this huge milestone. Kadi McCallum who works for MEM, and her family, are great supporters of our charity so we have been lucky enough to be one of the chosen 30. MEM have donated funds to pay for five letter writing packs (and stamps) which in turn will generate 55 letters for 55 people living with cancer bringing them comfort and brightening their day 🙏 💌. #charitytuesday

For our 25th Act of Kindness, MEM Recruitment has donated to the Big Give organisation, which is currently running a super Christmas special whereby any donations provided will be DOUBLED. Yes!
