Do you know how energy efficient your home is? An energy performance certificate (EPC) rates a property's energy efficiency, from A (best) to G (worst). An EPC is required when a property is built, bought, or sold - remaining valid for 10 years. In 2023, 84% of new build homes scored an A or B! However older homes can often fall behind, with only 10% of pre-1900 homes rated C or better. By 2030, UK rental properties will need an EPC rating of C or above. Making Energy Greener can provide your home with FREE government funded grants that can help improve the EPC rating of your home. Be sure to get in touch today to see how we can help you. 💚 #GreenerHomes #EPC

Making Energy Greener is thrilled to share some amazing news and updates from the past few weeks. We have been on a mission to support sustainable innovation and give back to the community in meaningful ways, and we couldn’t be prouder of our recent accomplishments! We have recently sponsored the fabulous 'One Night in Hollywood' event in Southport, raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. It was a night to remember! Glitz, glamour, and giving back—the event was a huge success, all in support of such an important cause. We're proud to have played a part in helping raise vital funds for research and support services. Energy Efficiency Awards 2024 Making Energy Greener was honoured to sponsor the National Multi-Measure Project of the Year Award, and huge congratulations to the deserving winners, Birmingham City Council SHDF Wave 2.1! Their efforts are setting a benchmark for energy efficiency. A special shoutout to our team as well as we were recognised with a Special Commendation in the Insulation & Fabric Installer or Contractor category! This recognition underscores our commitment to delivering top-notch sustainable solutions. We’re grateful to our partners, clients, and community for making these achievements possible. Together, we’re building a greener, more sustainable future and making a difference where it counts.

An air source heat pump is an excellent eco-friendly choice for heating your home. It extracts heat from the outside air, even in cold weather, to warm indoor spaces and hot water. In summer, it reverses the process, cooling your home by expelling indoor heat. This versatile, energy-efficient system is a more sustainable alternative to traditional heating methods. You may also be eligible for an air source heat pump grant, which can help make this environmentally friendly upgrade even more accessible. to find more information on air source heat pumps, visit our website https://lnkd.in/eGY5c-Gm

Today, Making Energy Greener CEO Rebecca Armstrong discussed the topic of warning households to get their boilers serviced before the winter rush with Ideal Home Magazine... The article shared guidance from a number of industry experts including Rebecca, who stated; "Some energy providers or local councils might offer discounted or even free servicing, particularly for those in vulnerable situations. It’s worth checking with your energy provider or local council to see if you qualify for any of these schemes. Even if you don’t, the cost of a service is a small price to pay for the peace of mind it brings, knowing that your boiler is ready for the cold months ahead."
